Summary Transcript:

Okay, let’s keep going. All right, so if you’re here, it’s probably because you want to create content that one, sells your offer, two, feels good to create. You want to have a relationship with content that isn’t so high and low. You wanna post without.

overthinking and dread and like all of these thoughts, which there’s so much, there’s, there’s so much to normalize about that, but you want to create content. You have a desire to show up as yourself. You want to lead like the leader you are, but content feels like the fricking mountain that you will never get over. Right. Or something like that. You want marketing that creates clients.

without feeling like you have to do it full freaking time.

And you want to play like you want like someone teach me how to just do this, like all these people with all these going viral people and all, all of that. Okay. So that might be something like you, might want to grow your business. You want to get, might want to get booked out. You might just want to stay consistent in seasons that you’re you’re of life that you’re going through. Right? Like I’ve been there. I’m thinking of a friend who’s here, but that might be where your head’s at. And if you are, let me know that in the chat.

And I saw some people, were like, let’s see, the rookie, the burnt out MVP. And this will have a replay. So if you missed the beginning of this, we can talk about, or we’ll be sending it tomorrow, I think, I believe. All right, so let me tell you a little bit about me. My name is Catalina del Carmen. You could call me Cat or Cat del Carmen on socials. I am a business coach for women of color, a content coach as well.

formally was in learning and development and I worked in tech. So I actually it’s so funny. Like someone asked me what I did before I was coaching and I was like, I actually sold learning and development. So I sold trainings. That’s like literally what I did. And then now it’s pretty like similar. I train, I also sell and my job is to understand what my clients need, their desires, their challenges.

But that’s what I did before. That being said, I was an L and D professional. I worked really hard to get this role at this really great company, Adobe systems. I’m very transparent. So I’ll just tell you, I worked at Adobe systems in San Jose in the Bay area. I’m born and raised by a Guatemalan, Guatemalan, immigrants who migrated to San Francisco, California. And that’s where I was born raised in the Bay area.

I struggled in school, but I was very talkative and I was very friendly. So I ended up doing pretty well, semi. I mean, like I was a pretty average student until I got to college. And then I was like, wait, I don’t have friends here. And I didn’t have anyone to copy off of. So then I had a real reality check. by the end of year one, I almost got kicked out. Like I was very, I was on academic probation. I almost got kicked out.

It ended up taking me nine more years to fully get my degree and I got a business degree. I’ve always been interested in business and I, know, after, after really being real with myself, I’m like, no, I want a business one day. I’m to get this degree. So I love business. I study business. But when I finally got this dream job that I wanted, great pay, great benefits. The benefits were out of this world. If anyone ever

works at Adobe systems, they would know it’s a really great benefits. But I left that behind because I started a podcast that I grew. So in 2016, I started my content journey. I created a fashion blog and from that fashion blog, I ended up pivoting into like more lifestyle Instagram influencer type. And I started learning about building community and what the point of that was.

And from there, I kind of ventured on YouTube. If you go out on YouTube and look up Kat Del Carmen, you will see a very young, good skin, 20-something version of me sharing different things. It started with makeup and some vlogs. And then towards 2018, 19, and 20, I started realizing how much I wanted to share personal development. I’ve always loved personal development.

So that’s what I did. And once I had my baby in 2019, I decided that I was going to be the mom who talks, who doesn’t just talk the talk, but walks the walk when it comes to telling my baby, you could be anything you want when you’re older, you could do anything in this world. the last month of maternity leave, I decided to put on a training. I worked in the L and D, right? Learning and development. I decided to put on a training for my network.

And I called it, that fear and the whole training, the whole event was all about exploring your fears and how you should probably follow them. That event turned out to be, I think like 28 people went. It was really great event. And as I went back to work from maternity leave, I realized I cannot keep up events, but I can do something else. And I decided to start a podcast and that podcast was the first thing that I ever was consistent on.

Like it was the first time I really gave it my all. Okay. And that was December of 2019. And by, I don’t know, but within a couple months, it was growing pretty quickly. I was getting a lot of traction and I was going out there creating that, right? I was creating the community. was telling everyone. remember telling coworkers, that was the first time I really was like, I’m going to own the F out of this. I am a podcaster. And

six months into that, I started monetizing it and having little strategy calls. By the time I hit 10K downloads, which was, I want to say like June of 2020, I decided to create a course. I launched a whole course, COVID was happening. I became a stay at home mom overnight. And a couple months later, I launched a group program and I was really testing the waters. I’m like, how could I monetize this?

And what happened during that time, so from October to December of 2020, I launched a course, created a course, launched a course, marketed the course, then November, I don’t know what I was thinking, but November, I created a group program, launched the group program, created the group program and implemented it. And by December of that year, I left my job too, somewhere around this time. I am very ADHD and extremely impulsive.

but I did manifest it. So by December of 2020, I was so burnt out. I did everything. I wrote all the launch emails. I put the gifts in them. I had the prettiest graphics with like a lot of good swipes and I was practicing my copy and trying to become a copywriter that was like witty and cool and funny and like all the things, right? I

very much almost quit. And December of 2020 is when I had a little come to Jesus moment. And I really realized how much I had to simplify. And around this time, I also created my first one-on-one client. I was not even interested in selling one-on-one, but someone who was interested in one of my other programs wanted to work with me one-on-one. I said yes. And it kind of blew my mind of like that anyone would even

pay me this much money to teach them how to create a personal brand and create coaching clients. I didn’t think too much of it, but I did know that I had to simplify a lot. I had to simplify a lot because I was burnt the F out and I knew it wasn’t sustainable. I was like very much prepared to go back to work if it was going to continue like this. So in January of 2021, I decided to

radically simplify my business. I, and some of you have heard this story many times, but I decided to focus on selling one offer. I made a deal with myself that if I really want this business and if I’m very serious about this, then I have to earn my stripes. I have to earn the growth that I want. And if I want to learn how to sell, I should probably start with learning how to sell one thing really, really well.

I just that it was January of 2021. I decided to focus on one-on-one coaching and I made a commitment to myself by the end of that month that I would only sell one-on-one coaching for that year. Cause I had plans to launch my course and I had plans to launch my group program again. And I was, I was still implementing the.

I made that deal with myself. And then the biggest thing was I decided to simplify my content. And that decision is literally the creation of this program. And that was like five years ago. I ended that year ended up changing my business. I booked out one-on-one over and over and hit 200 K only with one-on-one clients. And I had what’s crazy is I had like somewhere between 17 and 20 clients most of the time.

And I created content every single day. And I don’t remember it feeling hard. I remember not wanting to sometimes, but I don’t remember it being like dreadful. And that’s so much of the reason why I created this program. So anyways, let’s get into the why you’re here. So that is my story. And that’s kind of why I’m able to teach this to you.

Okay. And after that I have, I launched a mastermind, launched a group program, lots of things since then, but that was like the main thing. So here is what I find. Okay. Here is what I find is the main challenge when it comes to content. Okay. I’m going to read you some of the most common things I hear when it comes to the challenge when it comes to content. Number one is…

If you’re saying something, it might sound like this. I need this content to work. I need to create content. I need to create sales calls. I need this to work. I need this to get engagement. I need more leads. Right? There’s a lot of I needs. So the challenge when it comes to content, coming from those thoughts and coming from that way of thinking is you’re treating content

And this is for some of you, not all of you, but you’re treating content like a scoreboard. Like that is the game. Like the one piece of content you put out. Most people when they’re thinking this way, and I want to be clear here, this is all natural. Like I feel this too, right? In like different phases of my business and different days. Like I feel these things too. But we’ll talk about what I do to create a better relationship with content and what I teach my clients.

When you have this thinking that content is like the end all be all and it is the thing you have to do in your business, even if there’s truth to it, what I find and you tell yourself things like I need to create more content and I need to figure out a system for my content because I need more leads or I need more sales calls or whatever the case is, it creates an extreme attachment to your content. You become over attached to your content’s performance.

you become over attached to the validation that you get when you post a good piece of content. And there’s just a strong attachment to it. You’re waiting for content. Like this type of mentality will have you waiting for content to prove that you are legit, to prove that you are worthy of clients, to prove that you made the business thing work, right? And that attachment,

is what’s making content feel heavy and feel scary and feel stressful.

because it does feel stressful when you’re telling yourself this story over and over and over again. And I see this a lot, especially with folks who did not go into coaching or service providing or your business with content or with a community.

You’re like, okay, I have a business. Let me start creating content. Now look, and let me be clear. There’s a lot of effing noise, right? It’s a noisy world out there. You’re being told to create content a lot of different ways. You better work on a visual hook and then you got to work on an audio hook. And then you have to work on like your script and making sure it’s three seconds long or 10 seconds long, but one minute it’s fine. But only when this is the scenario. There’s so much noise along with us being attached to our content.

So today I wanna work through a couple of things, but first I wanna talk about how, like why thinking this way? Why feeling this way? Why telling yourself I need more likes, I need more reach, I need to create more content. Like why thinking this way is just not helpful. Like any athlete, like I talk a lot about like basketball analogies inside of my coaching.

So like any basketball player, overthinking or professional athlete, should say, overthinking every move when you are in the game will make you freeze instead of flow. Urietsi is here and she’s an expert at nervous system regulation. She was actually a guest inside one of my programs before. I say this because she talks all about flight, freeze, all the, I should know this.

But anyways, she’s here and she taught us this. So I just wanted to call her out. But what happens is you freeze, right? When we’re thinking this way, you obsess and you tweak and you just collect dozens of drafts. And then because of the overwhelm, you ghost your audience out of fear or out of shame or out of embarrassment.

And then you post, you work so hard on it, you edit, maybe you bought a course about it and you post something and then you feel disconnected to it. You’re like, sure, it’s good, but is it you? Like you’re just doing it to do it because you’re supposed to do it. So you’re either doing it too much with a zero plan or intention or

You’re barely posting and then crossing your fingers that the one post you do a week is good enough. And this is not what I want for you. It’s not what I want for anybody online, especially coaches, especially service providers who care about the work they do, who actually give a fuck, excuse my language, but who actually give an F about who they serve and the communities they support. It’s no.

Good for you. So let’s talk about the solution around this. And we’re going to dig into this deeper, but let’s talk about the solution around this. athletes, they play. When they’re in the game, they have to have self-trust because things are moving way too fast and unpredictably for you to be able to

play a game and have the whole thing planned out and know exactly what’s going to happen. That’s not how the game is played. It’s just not how the game is played.

The way you shift out of this is, you know, I have to create content and like, this is never going to work and I’m never going to grow following and why is this never good enough? And like, now I have to try something new, right? Like the way you mend that relationship with your content is seeing content as a leadership tool, seeing content as something that is an expansion of your leadership, not something that has rules and ways to act inside of it.

It’s not your professional job that you have to act perfectly and you have to have pretty graphics and they have to be on brand. That is not the way you want to have a relationship with content, especially because content is so important to your business. It is that important. And if you’re going to have to create content to grow your business, if that is a decision that you want, and also if you like desire it.

You’re like, want to be one of those industry leaders. I want to be one of those people who could just casually show up and like be cool about it. Like if that is what you desire, you have to change the thinking. You have to see it not as this place that you have to perform and put on an act or one of my clients said the other day. I don’t want to, what did she say? so good. She was something like, like pop.

pops the, I don’t know. It was basically dancing. She’s like, I don’t want to like pop my ass just to like get likes or whatever. But you cannot think about it this way. One thing I did very well in the beginning of my content journey is I told myself that content is a creative outlet for me. It’s a place where I get to show up as me and the people on the other side of that screen, whether I see them or not.

They are people who are choosing to watch me. They are choosing to follow me. This is my community. This is my space. And when you’re the leader of the space, right, you show up as the leader. When you think, when you think and you tell yourself that content is just a leadership tool, not a marketing tool.

Sure, you market there and it is a marketing tool, but more than anything, it’s a leadership tool. It’s a place where you could show up and say, like, hey, I have this thought. Let me share it to you. I was going for a walk today and I had this thought. Let me share it to you. Somebody needs to hear this today. It’s a way for you to connect with your people. It’s a way for people to get to know you without ever meeting you in person.

It’s a place where you could connect, where you could serve, and you can like literally share your thought leadership.

And when you show up like a leader in your content and you also show up real and honest as yourself.

When you’re able to mesh those, what happens is you create trust and you don’t, you go from this person that seems really cool. And I like one or two pieces of her content, right? Or their content. You become that too. my God. She’s, she’s reading my mind. She knows exactly what I’m thinking. How does she know that? Damn.

And when that happens, you instantly aren’t this stranger expert on the internet. You are a person, you are a human with a point of view who understands them. Who understands them.

And what’s most important that I’ve just learned in business, and I think this also is in person as well, but when you give your audience something to feel, to literally feel, when you make them feel something, that is when they feel that connection. That is when they build that trust.

Okay, so let’s go over how you can make this shift. Okay, how you can make the shift from, and we’re going to have, I’m going to share three strategies in just a minute, like specific strategies that I want you to take notes on. You might tell me if you’re taking notes. I want to see if anything’s hitting, but let’s talk about what changes in the shift. So once your mindset shifts from, once your mindset shifts, your game does too.

Right? So you stop performing and you start leading. You stop asking yourself what to post. And instead you just press live and you start coaching. You create more content automatically, not because you have to, but because you want to, because you have something to say. Because you have something to say. You speak clearer.

Right? You write clearer, you post with more confidence, you feel momentum because you are leading your community. You’re taking them on a journey with you. And you’re like, hey, if whatever your niche is, right? Whatever your niche is, like, it’s very much like, hey, if you’re interested in this, come with me. These are the conversations we’re having here. You’re not just there to play the game, right? You’re not just there to play basketball.

If you’re a pro athlete, like there’s the players who like, nobody knows their names, but it’s like the majority of the team and they’re there to play, get their paycheck. Let’s go. Right. Good for them. But the difference is like when you give yourself the freedom, the creative freedom, the emotional freedom, when you give yourself freedom to just treat your online audience, your community, the people, right? When you’re focused on connecting with them and understanding them.

Your content will lead them. Your content will stand out. And you won’t just be playing the game, you’ll be running it. You’ll be showing them the directions to go.

So let’s go, what time is it? Let me just make sure. Okay. I don’t want to, this is my outline is a little too long. Let’s see. I don’t want to go through my story again.

Here’s what I want to share three strategies with you. And these are the three I want you to really take away. within these strategies, we’re going to talk about how to create better copy, how to think about your audience, and then of course, how to turn that into copy plus a very simple system that is customized to you in your life. So.

Number, hold on one second.

So here are the three strategies that I want you to, as I explain them, I’ll ask you a question for you to, so if you have a pen and paper, get one close by, because as I go through these, I’m going to be asking you questions. If you’re, you know, if you’re sitting, if you’re driving or something, then don’t do this. Before I get into them, I want to share one thing. There is one specific time,

When I, after that 2021 year, right, I hit a milestone in my business. I hit 214K. It was a crazy year. December of that year, I found out I was pregnant and we were trying. So it was a great thing. Not that it wouldn’t be, but just saying. I got pregnant and I was really scared because I was like, my God, how am going to do this? How am I going to do maternity leave?

I can’t be working as much because it was all one-on-one clients. So I decided to launch a mastermind and I had a lot of demand, right? At that time I had a lot of demand. was learning. And at that time I hadn’t launched a program since 2020. And in 2020 when I launched my program, I was overwhelmed. I was overworked. I was burnt out. And I really had like launched trauma. I didn’t want to do that again.

But it was my first group program launched since then. I was pregnant, I was sick, I was insecure. I didn’t feel good about my body. I wasn’t confident in my new offer because it was brand new. But what I did do during that time, and I remember it was like May of 2022,

I decided to host the create a mastermind group program. And when it came to content, when it came to launch planning, I decided then and there, like, there’s a, I was, I was in two different masterminds and there was like a laundry list of things you were supposed to do for a launch. But in that time I was like, I’m not playing this game again. I’m not playing this game. So I decided.

that I am not going to perform and be like the best person to do a launch ever. I’m not gonna pretend to be perfect and like all of this. I am going to lead and I’m going to lead in perfectly. I’m gonna lead while I feel sick from my, I was like sick the whole pregnancy. I’m gonna simplify, I’m gonna show up messy. I’m gonna trust what my brain comes up with when it comes up with it.

And in that launch, I had to exercise these skills again of like, I’m not going to be mad that I have to create content. I’m not going to be mad at myself and shame myself for not doing things ahead of time or having a perfect plan or having content messaging. That’s perfect. I really gave myself full permission to just lead. What happens? What would happen if you just gave yourself permission to lead your people?

And that launch, I ended up selling it out. And it was such an experiment for me because I was insecure about that offer. It was brand new. I didn’t even know if I could do it. And I knew I was going to take maternity leave in the middle of the program. Of course, I communicated it to everyone. I had a lot of thoughts, but when it came to content, I had to stick to my guns and just focus.

And I still do this all the time. Anytime I’m in my head and we have something inside of show up real called cringe challenge. And it is the whole point of cringe challenge, which is it’s a two week challenge. The whole point of it is that you are able to give yourself permission to show up and lead. That’s so funny. That’s the name of my program. I didn’t mean to say it like that, but like you give yourself permission to show up and lead. Okay.

Let’s talk about the three strategies that I took from this experience and I now teach inside Show Up Real.

Let me see.

Okay, let me give you a couple teachings from that and then it kind of goes into the core things. So number one, I coached myself like an athlete on a freaking mission. I coached my own brain. That’s what I had to get good at. Number two is I adopted a, what I call inside of show up real, a movement mentality. I had to think bigger than me and my business because at that point I had already hit a milestone of mine.

So the money, as exciting and great as it was, like it couldn’t like, that wasn’t all I wanted. I was pregnant. I had a lot of things going on. I simplified platforms. I let myself play and try some new things. And I stopped waiting to be ready and just showed up anyway. I created content that prioritized my service, my program, my offer versus aesthetics.

You could, could scroll down to 2022, May 2022. It was not aesthetic. Okay. Go look at it. 2021 wasn’t either. I trusted my ideas. When I had an idea, I went with it. I trusted that it was a good one. And then I built a system that worked for me in that phase of my business. I gave myself full permission to just do it my way.

So here are the three strategies that I want to share with you that if you implement these, if you have the audacity, and I really, really, really challenge all of you to do that. Like if any of this is hitting at all, I beg you, like whatever, especially like if there’s like a one-liner or if there’s one lesson that I share that really resonates with you, own that, own it.

Implement it, depending if it’s good or bad or whatever, if it’s negative or positive, but like take action if it feels like something you want to try on and go take action on. Or if it’s something I say that has to do with like a negative thought, let that go. Pretend what it’s like if it didn’t exist. Not for a whole day, for a whole week, for a whole month. Don’t gaslight it, but just allow yourself. I was just telling a client this morning on Boxer, she’s doing a challenge where she’s

creating 10K in 20 days, I think. And I was giving her a little pep talk and she, I was like, can you just give yourself a chance to be a little more delusional? Like what if, like not for the sake of doing more, this is not about doing more. This is about literally shifting the way that you think. And like, what if I just did whatever I like literally treated

treated my content, treated my content platform, treated Instagram, treated LinkedIn. What if I had the audacity to show up in that platform? Like the leader I am fully, like the same way I show up on my coaching calls, I show up here and I treat not just my clients. Right. I treat not just my clients like, you know, like their coach, but I treat my audience.

Like they’re my clients and I coach them. So here are the three strategies. Here are the three things that are going to help you one create. They are reading your mind content too.

help your audience trust you and connect with you so they buy from you. Okay. Number one is embodying leadership even when it’s hard when it comes to content. Now all of this is related to content. I want to be clear. Sure, your business too. You could use it in any part of your life. But one thing that you have to start telling yourself is that

I am an in-demand leader. I used to say this to my clients. I used to say it to myself. But you had demand before you ever had a business. Before you had a business, you had demand.

Even before you had a business, you had people who were interested in working with you. There were people, right? You know those people. Those people are like, you always make me feel so good, or you always have something to say, or like, you’re the person I come to, right? That’s demand.

When you show up as a leader, when you really embody all of your badassery,

and embody that leadership, content becomes easier. And instead of performing, you start leading. Inside of Show Up Real, there’s a specific module, and I talk all about, it’s the movement mentality module. And within one video inside of there, I talk about something called grassroots mentality. Now,

I am wildly inspired by activists. Like I always have been. To me, activists are just the epitome of leadership, like the epitome of leadership. They show up when it’s hard, they’re willing to do the legwork. you know, having a grassroots mentality and the way I explain it in the program is like grassroots mentality is like very much all about let’s spread the word here.

especially the leader, the leader of this, and you are the leader in your business. But like when you have grassroots mentality, the thinking is everybody needs to know this is possible for them. Right? Like for me, everybody needs to know that content can be a tool for leadership. It could be a tool, like a creativity tool. One thing I never, ever, ever want to stop doing when it comes to content.

is allowing myself to stop allowing myself to be creative on it. Content started for me as a creative outlet. Creating content taught me that I’m creative. I used to literally, something I believed before years ago, I used to tell people with my words, I’m not that creative. I’m not that creative. I don’t really have a thing. I don’t have a thing, I used to always say.

that came from my own stuff. My sister is a makeup artist and has colorful hair and tattoos and plays all the instruments. She’s incredibly creative. And then my little sister is also a dancer. I never had a thing.

So the way I’ve always thought about content is like, it gets to be my creative outlet. And I never want to stop thinking that way. It serves me so well. So when I think about having this grassroots mentality, it’s like, when you have a grassroots mentality, when you’re embodying that mentality, you don’t really care what your content looks like, right? That’s not the priority. Now, is it important sometimes? Sure.

But the beginning of it, like when you’re getting people together, it’s like, let’s go knock on doors. Let’s go tell the people what’s possible. That’s the mentality you have to have. Like, you know how to do something. You have skills that a lot of people need.

And even if you’re service provider, like I’m looking at my, one of my clients inside show up reels here, Ruby, like she’s a service provider, like, she does like brand design and websites and all that. And like, when I think about you Ruby, I’m like, people who are in business want to express themselves through their website. Their website is so important to them.

That is exactly what people see as their business. So it is so important, right? I mean, I’m kind of preaching the opposite right now, but whatever your niche is, whatever you do, having a grassroots mentality of like, everybody needs to know this is possible for them. Everybody needs to know that it can be this easy. Everybody needs to know that their hormones are more important than how much they weigh on a regular basis. Everybody needs to know that

You don’t need to be buying Bitcoin. You need to be investing early in your retirement. Everybody needs to know that you could retire at 40 or 50 or in eight years like one of my clients, Wally. When you have that mentality. It’s it’s much easier to create content because that’s just like who cares? That’s just like the vessel that’s going out into the world. So thinking that having this mindset shift.

will change the game. And it makes me think of one of my clients, Marielle. She’s also inside Showbrill. But Marielle is someone who, she stays in grassroots mentality. She’s constantly talking to her audience. She’s giving them, she’s sharing her journey with them. She’s sharing her behind the scenes. This is what I’m doing for the business today. This is what I’m putting in my retirement accounts. She’s a money coach, right? So she’s a money coach and a public speaker and

She’s also very active in her local community. She will just send emails and send them to businesses and be like, hey, do you want to sponsor some spots for my workshop I’m having? Grassroots mentality. When you think this way, you will audaciously just go out and create content. Like it won’t matter that much.

making sure I’m not missing anything.

And this also has to do just to be clear when you’re sick or you’re not feeling good or you’re not in the mood or you’re in your head. When you have this mentality, you do the work if you’re supposed to do the work. Now, are you going to burn yourself out? Are you going to work around the clock? No, you’re going to take care of yourself. But if you said you’re going to do something, you’re going to do it because it needs to be done. There’s still people that don’t know.

And I think there’s so much talk, especially around coaching industry, that it’s like growing and changing, and it is growing and changing. But there are still so many people who need help. Like when you think about your family, sisters, brothers, mom, dad, cousins, like how many of them have coaches?

How many of them are actually putting like doing the things they need to do in their life to better their life or better their business? Okay. That’s strategy number one. Strategy number two is create from curiosity.

Create from curiosity, not insecurity. Like lean on curiosity when you are creating content. And let me explain. The best way to create content that speaks directly to your people, that has them saying to themselves, my God, she’s reading my mind, right? Or they’re reading my mind. The best way to do that is to be genuinely interested.

in your ideal client’s growth.

and to be genuinely interested in their challenges and being curious. So the reason I say, like, and I think I’m going to create something that’s like curious content or something, but regardless, creating from curiosity means that instead, like when you are actually creating content and you’re like, okay, let me post a piece of content. I got an hour. How much can I get done? Instead of asking yourself, hmm, I wonder what my marketing message

says, let me pull one of these, et cetera, et I really need clients right now. should talk. I should talk about this. Right. Instead of making your content come from your offer or come from your business, like the, the fuel of the content, the ideation, instead of having that come from your offer, your business, let it come.

from clients. Let it come from your curiosity about them.

Why is my client, like, why is this person still not taking action after our coaching on the same thing three times?

What are some reasons they’re not taking action? Why does it feel hard for them?

Why does it feel hard for them?

What’s in their way?

I wonder how they think about this that’s making them not say, you know, do what they said they were going to do.

When you create content that is fueled from your curiosity on why your clients aren’t taking action or what mindset shifts that they really need to start implementing to see the result they want.

When you start getting curious about them, studying the coaching calls you have with them, studying their, you know, I’m just thinking of different types of coaches, like studying their Instagram, studying their business, studying their health journey, studying like whatever kind of coach you are. Like when you study them and when you make, when you create from a place that starts with curiosity, your content will be better.

It’ll speak directly to your people. And if you embody that leadership, you’ll probably say it in a way that speaks so directly to them. Because you’re doing the work and understanding their problem better than you understand your problem. One thing I say all the time with my clients is like, no, no, no, no. When we’re creating content, it’s not about solving your problem all the time.

Here’s the thing, strategy is wildly important when you’re marketing. But I find when you practice, and then there’s the last one that’s about your system. But when you practice these, what’s the word I’m looking for? Like the output, the, there’s a word for this. If you know the word I’m thinking of, please share it. Like the, when you practice these, the,

is the word. The output is the only way I could see it right now. But the output is great content. The output is speaking directly to your people.

That’s just what happens when you genuinely are interested in their problems and you create from curiosity. And from there, you also get social and you get curious. You start kind of seeing themes on like many people who think this way, right? And when I think about this, I think about one specific client inside of Show Up, Real. Her name’s Louise. She’s actually a very longtime client with me.

She was my one-on-one client back in 2021, January of 2021. And when she started working with me, I didn’t have a niche. I didn’t really understand what the hell I was doing with my one-on-ones. But one deal I made with myself at that time was if someone came to me, I’m going to tell them what I could help them with. And that’s it. That’s all I could do. That’s all I could do. And she was one of those people. And she went on.

We work, she went, she was in my mastermind. She’s in my group program now and she is someone who, so let me tell you a little bit about her. She is a, uh, she’s a life coach, a confidence coach for women in trades. So her ideal client are women who work in male dominated fields. And one thing she does so well is she just always has the, like she’s, her content is

always directly related to her clients. She has talked every she’s talked about so many subjects across the board. I want to say she has a podcast episode all about sexual harassment at work. She has another podcast episode of like if your you know, if your boss says this to you or if your boss says something misogynistic like the nerve, right? The nerve like she’s practicing leadership. She’s practicing curiosity. She’s practicing

creating content from pure genuine interest, pure curiosity, and speaking directly to her people. And she just hit 100k last year. Yeah, yeah, yeah, last year.

Let me know if you have any questions that come up, because I want to make sure to answer them at the end. Okay, last but not least.

The last strategy that is going to help you create this content is the simple repeatable system, which for this webinar, I’ll call the self-trust content system. And by system, mean having a process that you go through to go from idea

to publishing, okay? Because what I find is a lot of people are really, and this was me too, at the beginning of my business, I thought I needed to like batch create and I needed a content calendar and I needed like all these things to create content and that was such BS. I mean, I use a content creator, there’s no problem with a content calendar, okay, just to be clear, and we have content calendar within the program too.

But so I’m not shitting on content calendars, but what I am saying is that if you are holding some type of processor system or way that you should be creating content and why is it so hard for you and why can’t you just do it? Right? If that’s you, then stop trying to

fit a circle into a square peg. Like if it doesn’t work for you, stop doing it. There has to be another way. And it’s likely the other way is going to hit your ego a little.

It’s likely it’s not going to be the right way that you think it should be or that you were told it should be. Your content system should go with your life.

100%. It should make sense for your lifestyle, for your work style, for your brain. I have ADHD. My system is not going to work for everyone. So your content system should feel like a rhythm. It should feel something smooth like this. It shouldn’t be a workbook that you just like check box, check, check, check. I mean, it could be a check. Like if that works for you, fine. But even in that case,

You have to create your own rule book. You have to create your own. So here’s how you do this. Number one is you know your patterns. So this could be different depending. Actually, I know one person said they’re a rookie. I’m curious like who’s brand new to content versus not brand new.

If you’re willing to share, let me know if you have any type of following, even like 100 people or something like that. So your content system, to create one that’s yours and for your lifestyle and your brain, you have to know a couple of things. Number one is if you have zero experience, you have to be willing to test and learn and figure that out as you go.

If you were in Show Up Real, I would say do two weeks of cringe challenge and then come back to me and we’ll create a content system. And cringe challenge, I mentioned earlier, it’s this challenge where I challenge you to create, I think it’s 30 pieces of content. I could be wrong. 30 pieces of content in 14 days. Like it’s a lot of content in a short amount of time, but the whole experience is all about self-trust. It’s just a practicing, trusting yourself.

So that’s what I would say first. And then from there, you have to know your patterns. If you have experience, if you’re one of those, like if you are the scattered strategist who like, you know a lot, right? You’ve made some money, you’ve had some clients, but like, you literally will like ghost everybody from time to time. If that’s you, we have to solve for that. There’s the inner work part, but there’s also the outer work part.

What is slowing down the process? If you have an idea, if you create the, let’s say you have an idea and you write it in your notes app on your phone, right? But that’s where it stops and it never gets published, then that is what we have to uncover, knowing what patterns are happening. Because to actually create a system that works for you and your lifestyle, you have to understand the patterns.

You have to understand what is slowing down this process and then eliminate it from the steps. So back in 2020, 2021, 2020, December, 2020, when I simplified my content, I made some harsh decisions in my business that had to do exactly with my system. Number one,

I decided to not do TikTok. And at this time, TikTok was booming. Now, a part of me looks back and I’m like, I should have done TikTok. But at that time, I had a little toddler, my business, I was very committed to my business. I needed to learn how to simplify it for my ADHD brain. I just wanted to double down on what I knew worked. So I eliminated TikTok. I told myself, I eliminated LinkedIn.

And I’m like, I told myself we’re focusing on three platforms and you’re going to, and this is for me, I gave myself full, oops, I gave myself full permission to post whenever I wanted. Cause I kept thinking I needed to have a calendar and I just decided like, no, I don’t have to have a calendar. I could post whenever I want and that’s okay. And that’s a process that works for me.

And once you understand, I didn’t mention this, I eliminated Canva because I like graphic design and I could spend a lot of time on Canva. And I was realizing before when I was making no money, my content was a lot prettier, but I was not making the money I wanted. So if you look at my Instagram specifically in 2021, if you look at 2020,

It’s pretty and like aesthetic and cute. And then 2021 comes and it’s simple. Cause I was in grassroots mentality. I was like, this is not about the way it looks. This is about giving the value to the people. Let me figure out what works. Let me create a system that’s repeatable. And I rotated three or four, four pieces of content over and over and over. There was just four types of pieces of content I did all the time. And I never had to think much about it. I never had to think about like,

how I was going to put it together. I just created a system that worked for me.

Um, so you have to know your patterns. You have to stop trying to be everywhere and just focus on getting good and being one place. And then when you find what works, when you find a system that works for you, you double down on it. Instead of being like, I need to start a podcast. Like, no, no, no, no. Double, like improve the value of where you are showing up. Grow that.

Okay. And when I think about this, I think about one of my clients, Nicole, Nicole Santos inside of show up real. And she recently, I want to say in April, I think in April she hit her first five K month. was a seven. It ended up being a 17 K month. She was on the podcast last week. If you want to hear more about her story, but she is a person that when I met Nicole, she, she was in my, uh, I worked with her in 2022. I think it was.

When I first met her, she was like, I think I need to post at 7 a.m. because that’s the right time. And then I don’t want to post on Sundays because so and so told me to. And then I worked with a content person and then they told me that I should only use XYZ. And I was just like, yeah, and where is that getting you? Because at that time she was just really stuck when it came to content.

So I’m like, look, I love all, like I like content. Just to be clear, I love content. I love playing. I love audio hooks and visual hooks and editing. I’m an editor. Like I’ve been editing videos since my YouTube days in 2018. I love graphic design. I love Canva. I could be on Canva all day. I always kind of wanted a graphic design agency a little bit because I like it.

But that being said, if I’m trying to grow my business, I got to simplify. And Nicole is such an example of someone who I have seen go from this mentality of like, has to look a certain way to now. And by the way, she has a whole aesthetic. She’s just not spending hours and hours and hours on it. She understands the value of her time and she understands

that value comp, like the, the, the real thing that’s going to move her business forward, that’s going to create clients, that’s going to move the needle. She understands that it’s the content and the quality of the content, not always how it looks or when it’s posted or whether it’s said properly. There are times, and I’m not hating on it, there are times and places where you exercise different strategies, but

If you’re struggling to get content out, the game is simplifying. The game is simplifying.

All right. Let me recap that real quick. So number one, you show up like a leader, not like a content intern. Not like you work at a social media agency. Like literally when I started, when I was starting my business, I like literally wanted to create content. Like I had a whole social media agency. I wanted a batch record, create 30 pieces of content one day or a hundred pieces of content in one day.

Look beautiful. Is it nice? Sure. But what’s going to work for you? Okay. Show up like the leader. Treat your community like your community. I’m sorry. Treat your audience like your community. They are following you because they actually give an F about what you have to say about that subject. They like what you have to say.

Think, see content, see your platform, see social media as a leadership tool, not just a marketing tool. Number two, focus on your audience. Create content from curiosity. Create from curiosity.

Become genuinely interested in your clients’ challenges. Become genuinely interested. One thing, and I wasn’t planning on talking about this, but one thing I talk about often inside of Show Up Real is how empathy is so, so important in the marketing process. Because if you really want to create content that speaks directly to your people, you have

have to be willing to put yourself in their shoes and to put yourself back in like, how did I feel when I felt like that? And I give this example, I give this example, I know Amazon is very problematic, but they revolutionized three day shipping, right? Once upon a time in an office in Amazon,

They empathized with their client so much that they, someone thought, how freaking cool would it be if we could guarantee three day shipping?

They didn’t have to, but they did know that their ideal client loves to see their package. They did know that their ideal client wanted it faster.

You have to be able to empathize and put yourself in their shoes. And when you do that, you will create better content. Your words will speak directly to what they’re thinking because you’ve done the work to think about them and their challenges and their desires. So focus on your audience, study them.

And then number three, build a content system that fits your brain and your business. The version of your business right now. I’ve had lots of different content strategies since the beginning of my business and even before my business. There are lots of different strategies that I’ve practiced.

When you’re creating a system, like there was a time where all my content, not all, shouldn’t, that’s not true. A lot of my content was pre-planned. It was scheduled, right? Like I went from like having this simple content plan, but like the simple content plan I was telling you about earlier, that was still in the moment. Like I was doing that in the moment, but there was, I evolved into having a content system where

I was started to launch and I started to more experienced with launching. So then I started creating content that was prepared ahead of time.

started working with a designer who helped me create templates, right? There are different phases of your business that are going to need different things that you are going to have to shift with the business and with your brain and with life circumstances. But at the end of the day, if there’s one takeaway I really want you to practice is content is not just about marketing.

your any audience you have, whether it’s 50 people or 500 people or 50,000 people, whatever that looks like, that’s your community. They’re there for you. They’re there for your ideas.

So, that is the end of the training, the teaching portion. I’m gonna tell you about my offer, Show Up Real, but before I get into that, I wanna give you a chance to ask questions, if you want any coaching, anything like that. And I also wanna be very forward that once we get into the program, I’m gonna sell to you. I always like to like, just let you know.

And there’s also zero hard feelings if you want to go. So I’m going to get into describing the program and telling you how I could help you with your content. But if you have questions, please, please, please let me know in the chat. And if I see it and I start answering it, I probably will invite you to chat with me a little bit more, but go to the chat box if you, if you have a question.

Okay, I want to share a little bit about how I could help you with your content and make content something that you’re excited to do. Make it something, maybe you’re not always excited, but you’re usually excited to do because your mindset is in this like, okay, I’m the leader of this group. What do I got to say today? The beauty about having, creating content and having a community online is that you get to talk about what

ever the hell you want. You get to, you get to have the conversations you want to hear. You get to choose that. So, and they can make you money. It’s like the, it’s like the best thing. So let’s talk a little bit about Show Up Real. I want to give you the inside scoop in terms of what the program is. So I designed Show Up Real to do two things, to help your relationship with content.

to help you create more content and to help you actually grow your revenue and create more clients. That’s it. That’s why I created the program. For me, content has always been this thing that I get to do that is my creative outlet. I give myself a lot of effing permission. And am I, you know, am I scared to take risks with content? Do I get nervous? Are there times I hate content? Absolutely. I’m still human, you know, I’m still human.

But one thing I don’t toy with too long is putting myself in a box of how I’m supposed to look online. I make that rule as the business owner. So let me show you a little bit. I’m going to pull up the actual program itself because I hope it’s somewhere because that will give you a better inside look. Did I really X out of it? I must have. All right.

Let me just log in, but I’ll start with saying this.

on, sorry. Let me tell you a little bit about what’s inside of the program while I pull this up. So inside of the program, we split it up the modules in between a couple different ways. So first, which is really important to me because I talked about it today, is the movement mindset part. And that’s where one, I teach you how to self-coach, which is a process I learned in 2020, I think it was, from many different coaches.

But it’s basically the self coaching model from Brooke Castillo. I know she’s very problematic, but that shit changed my life. So I swear by it. That being said, we also teach a lot of other ways to coach yourself. we also have, like I have a module, you’re going to see it, but like I have a module all about authenticity. One thing I’m working on for the rest of this sometime this year that I want to grow inside the program is,

helping you build your personal brand. Because one thing that I did before starting my business that was so pivotal to my growth was I used content to create a personal brand. And that was really the game changer because then I started becoming known, right? Becoming known for my content. So let me share my screen.

Let’s see. Okay, so this is inside of the program. It looks like this when you first log in, there’s some directions here and then you have some go-to links. So one thing that we do inside of Show Up Real is you will submit your monthly audience results and submit your revenue wins. And if you do this regularly, then you basically have a partner in tracking your

sales. And once you hit 25 % increase in your business or your audience, you get entered into something we call movement makers, which is a club where you get additional coaching. And I think every quarter we pick one person, we like a lottery pick of one person who gets one-on-one coaching. So once we go down, there’s also a Slack community, which I’ll show you in a little bit.

And then we also do content and social media reviews. So I will give you, and I’ll show you an example. Inside of Show Up Real, you have unlimited access to getting your content reviewed, your social media bios reviewed, your emails reviewed. I’ll show you in just a bit, but you have access to that. And I review it and give you feedback via video inside of the, and then I share it inside of the Slack community.

So first we have start here, which these are some just like basic terms and conditions, things you should know. But this module is where we go in a little bit deeper. So we talk about movement mentality here, creating your cause, how to coach yourself. I dig deep and I didn’t do this too much on the webinar, but I dig deep into selling is serving mentality.

This changed my brain. Like one thing I really deeply desire for everybody who’s inside of show up real and anyone who joins is that you really truly does like enjoy selling and see the value in selling. I am a firm believer that the best thing we can do it like if we really want to create impact in this world is to sell, to sell our services and

That’s really something I deeply believe in. So anyways, we talk about this here. An important piece of this puzzle, and I also didn’t mention this either, but an important piece of this puzzle is learning how to make quick decisions and making quick decisions and being willing to make quick decisions and move on and learn from the decision making. This is how you grow your business. It’s how I was able to get fully booked over and over and over again, because things will come up.

schedule things, life things. remember when, I remember having 18 weekly clients and my son going into a brand new daycare for the first time and he was getting sick every month. Anybody who is a mom knows this. He was getting sick every month and I just remember feeling the weight of the world because I had one-on-one calls.

And I didn’t have anyone to watch him because we don’t live close to family. So I had to make quick decisions. I had to trust myself. I had to really trust my content because I had even less time. these are the things that, these are just like what I share in movement mentality is really the core mindsets that you have to start practicing or that I recommend you practice so that you can implement the strategies easier.

We talk about gratitude practice, which I think is so helpful in keeping you focused on the right things. And then lastly, how to show up real. This is like really an authenticity training, but this is going to turn into something bigger soon because I want to create a whole thing, like a whole probably mini course on personal brand. So then we get into creating your community, right? Because creating your community is different than creating your creating clients.

This is all about regeneration. So we talk about the movement making process. Then we talk about choosing platforms, choosing your movement words. So movement words are kind of like how we think about pillars. This is a little bit more going deeper into personal brand. We, I mean, I could show you just like a piece of it. Let me see.

Okay, well, this isn’t helpful, but that’s okay. Do I have anything?

I’ll just give you, so movement words is a strategy we use inside of show up real. It’s more of a personal branding and like content pillars, a way to think about content pillars, but it helps you understand what topics that you could talk about in your content. I mean, you could really talk about anything, but it gives you some guidance. Then we get into creating content quickly, which is really important, quickening that process of idea to publishing.

And then we talk about the important stuff that not a lot of people talk about is one being social on social media. If you want clients to come from your social media, you have to learn how to be social and friendly on social media. Right? So we talk about this and I teach you inside also collaborating with your community, collaborating with people who have aligned audiences. You is

Pivotal to your business growth, pivotal to growing your audience. Collaborating changed the game of my business. So I highly recommend it I teach you in there how to do that. And then community building best practices. This is more about like how to create connections online, what to do, what not to do. Then we have some examples like this. This gives you a full breakdown of my 200K strategy. And then I go into

other short form content strategies here and like how to think about them and ways to get inspired and all that good stuff. So the other module, then we talk about your offer and just making sure that you are confident in your offer and that you know what you’re selling. Cause I find that like people who struggle with content, especially when they’re trying to create clients, it’s not always the offer, but sometimes it’s that you don’t have confidence in what you’re selling.

So in this module, I help you create an offer you’re proud of. We talk about how to think about your people, your audience, and yeah, your audience and your offer. We talk about amateur versus pro offer. If you haven’t read the book, shoot. my God, my God.

What is the effing book?

Hold on, I’m just gonna look it up. It’s by Steven Pressfield, Going Pro. Steven Pressfield. So it’s called Going Pro, but his first book is, this is a second book and the first book is more popular. What is it called? Oh, The War of, wait, The War of Art, not The Art of War, which is also a very popular book.

This book is called The War of Art, and it’s really created for creative minds, and I highly recommend it. And anyways, it inspired this module where I talk about a pro offer versus an amateur offer. And then we deep dive into identifying your ideal client, how to price your offer, how to identify what your offer result is, and then the build of your offer.

And then the last one, is probably the most, I want say the most important, but you know, we don’t have a business if we don’t create clients. So this module is all about creating clients with content. So we go over the content strategy. We fo- you know, I share like the main focuses to grow your revenue. We also have a lot of resources, which I’ll go through with you. Content prompts to write copy. These are amazing. Is this a video? yeah, this is where I teach you.

how to, so the resources here, we have content prompts that are very, very helpful. And then I teach you how to use them. So they’re not content prompts in terms of like, so that you’ll sound like everyone else. These content prompts are specific, like are created in a way so that it’s asking you a question and whatever your answer is, right?

you say the answer, you write the answer, and the way you write it, when you put it all together, it turns into one piece of content. It’s really good. My clients use them very often. I’m going to be creating more too, which I’m really excited about. Then this is the core strategy. This is about choosing content types and packaging your offer and content and capturing, and how do you capture your offer, auditing your content, creating your weekly strategy.

And then we also have a little bit on selling. So mastering sales calls, sales call workflow, which this is the workflow that created that 200K year. So I go through it and it has a document as well that goes with it that you could download for your sales calls. It’s not a, what do they call it? Script. It’s not a script. It’s really just a guide that helps you take leadership, take on leadership within that call.

Then there’s like what to not do on sales calls. And then this concept of clean selling that I learned from one of my mentors. And then I wanted to go through these program challenges. So the content prompts are really popular. This is cringe challenge. So how cringe challenge works is, so 30 pieces of content in two weeks. I’m gonna increase this. I think this needs to be more. It’s only because we recently did it as, we’ll do this as a group too sometimes. We’ll go through.

Cringe Challenge together as an entire group. And what I find is 30 in two weeks was too little. We should do 50 in two weeks. The point of this is really to practice. what does it say here? Cringe Challenge is designed to disrupt a low value mindset cycle. That is a horrible way to explain this.

basically to disrupt your perfectionism and keep you, that keeps you from posting. And instead you go straight into this challenge and you post, you publish, you go live, you do all the things because you don’t have that much time and room to think about it. This challenge is all about anti-perfectionism. It’s designed to help you stop consuming and start creating. And this is something you have access to anytime. So like, let’s say you’re in a funk and you’re just like, I need to get out of my head.

you immediately go to Cringe Challenge, you sign up, and when you sign up, you will have an email every single day for two weeks with a challenge to post and a journal prompt so that you could journal and work on your mindset as well. So that’s something you have access to all the time. I also share something I call 200K Content Book. This is a book. oops.

I don’t think I could share it with you, but yeah, I’ll have to open up a different one. But this is basically a book of all my content in one place from my first, my fully booked one-on-one coaching year. So in one place, it’s like, I don’t know, a hundred plus pages. You could read all the copy and you could see like everything I was talking about in the webinar. You could see the out.

of thinking that way, right? The output of grassroots mentality, the output of studying your clients. Like how does content look when you are, when you have a simple content system that works for your life? You get to see that in action in like a physical book. The reason I created this, because one of my coaches did this before and I just really enjoyed reading her copy. Not from like, I never copy obviously, this is not meant to copy me.

This is meant to inspire you, to give you ideas, for you to see the conviction that’s in my words. So that’s why I put it into a book. And then, let’s see, we also did a full like 25 day Reels challenge where you create your signature series strategy. And signature series is a Instagram Reels, TikTok or short form video strategy. And we did two trainings on it.

And can do that too, anytime you want. And then we also have a ton of bonus trainings, webinar and content. I recently in January of this year, I sold a program called Selling with Stories all about selling, obviously it’s pretty self-explanatory, like selling with stories. And down here, you could download the workbook. You could download a hundred storytelling content prompts, 10 chat GPT,

storytelling prompts. Yeah, you have that. I mean, there’s tons in here. Let’s see this. this one’s actually really important. This is the fully booked formula. This is a module I actually took from my mastermind and I brought it in here. I wanted every, because some of the clients wanted to get fully booked. So I put it in here and this strategy, I mean, this little module.

We’ll go through the exact strategy to get fully booked. If you want to get fully booked with one-on-one clients, what does it say? Yeah, basically like your mindset, your capacity, understanding what your capacity is. We talk about offers, we talk about how to market and the way to think about sales. And then here we add a lot of trainings that are just on different things. So what to post and when.

content with conviction, increasing conversions, repurposing long form, four steps to your first coaching client. Every single year, I do an annual end of year reflection and planning event. So the replay of last year’s in here. What else? Obviously, the group replays. I mean, we have tons of these, but…

The group replays, if you just watch them, you can get so much of them. But let me show you. I want to show you exactly what the Slack looks like. So you could see inside of that. Give me one second.

Okay, so this is this is it right? Yeah. this is inside the slack. We’re my plan is actually to move out of slack soon and we’re going to be using a different platform. But for right now, this is where we are collaborating. There’s a channel. There’s a whole bunch of channels here so you can during a challenge. We use the challenge channel. This is call information. This is the quick links channel. So you there are quick links here. So if you need the portal access, the code, the calendar.

Content review. So actually do you want to show you that one? And then we have, you know, wins to share. We have a brand new one, which I’ll read this in a little bit, but I did want to show you the quick links and I want to show you the content review. actually, before I do that, let me show you what it looks like. Actually, no, let me, let me show. So I mentioned this earlier, you have access to get your content reviewed anytime you want.

Okay, anytime you want and there’s no limit to this. So let me show you the process. So you have access to this document. Shoot, where’d it go? Hold on.

it again. Okay.

rates.

Okay, here it goes. So it looks like this. It says show up real content reviews and audits. Use this form to submit copy or content reviews or social media audits. Content and copy reviews are for reviewing your copywriting, overall quality, conversion, and or community building optimization, et cetera, et cetera. For long form video or audio content such as podcasts, we will review up to five minutes. You will receive a response Monday through Friday.

And then basically you choose which one you’re doing. So sometimes it’s a podcast audit, short form, caption. If you just want a basic social media audit, what we’ll do is we’ll look at your bio and your name and just make sure you’re optimizing it. And then I ask you some questions about your offer and about what you’re looking for in terms of the review. So you submit this and then where, so then I,

do the content review and then when I’m done with it, my clients inside of Show Up Real will go to this channel right here. It’s called Submit Content Reviews. This should be like submitted content reviews. So you could see here, this is the last one I did and it’s a full video. I’ll review, let me try to play it.

Okay. Hello. Okay. So I don’t know if you hear that. are so like, will be a zoom is now available. So, this one was for, I want to say this one was for a

this was for an email copy review. I thought this was for social media audit.

Well, that’s okay, regardless.

I’m I’m looking at this because I could have sworn it was something else, but that’s okay. Regardless, I do the review and I’ll do the whole thing. I’m to look at this like I’m a bread boom procession. Stream this program. Okay, this is what she wanted. Ah, so she wanted me to review the copy inside of her calendly. That’s what she was asking for. So I…

Number one, wanted to make sure that the calendly was clear. There was lots of spaces for me to book a sales call. She asked me, like, should I put the price in there? All of that. Another one. So this one was for a piece of this one was like a social media audit. Hello. OK. So this one, I’m like reviewing a couple of pieces. I’m reviewing a couple pieces of her content.

And then what I also do on the social media reviews are I will also like actually give you a review on the whole thing. So like the name, your username, whether you know your Instagram bio, do you have client testimonials anywhere? Do like in your bio, is it clear what you do and what you could help me with? Right. So you could submit this any time. Okay. Any time as much times as you would like.

and I will submit a video to you. think Cynthia’s not on the call now, but she was on the call. And Cynthia is a person who like, she wanted me to, I think it was copy. Yeah. She wanted me to send her copy or review her copy. And after she did, I mean, clearly she had a few moments. She’s like, I had a few aha moments or I don’t know what that symbol, but like, you know, mind blown moments, listening to the feedback, implementing. Yeah. So

you’ll have access to this. I will say when it comes to reviews, I’m kind of looking at this process and figuring out how I want it in the future, because one thing, here’s the thing. As much as I love you asking for feedback on content and as much as I want to give you feedback on content, and I will give you honest content reviews, right? It’s also really important that you take the review with a grain of salt, because at the end of the day,

You are the owner of your business and it is so important that you are taking the thing like the advice or coaching that I’m giving you, the review I’m giving you and take what is the most immediate action you can take and leave everything else until you are ready to go back for it. Because some things we just can’t change all at once. And I’ve had a couple clients who, you know, can

they can kind of get in their head about getting feedback. So if you’re that person, be open with me, still get the feedback, but you can, the doc, you can write, like, I’m looking for specific feedback on this. And then on the coaching call, we could talk more about it. But you have full access to that. I also wanted to share the calendar so that you know what the calendar for Show Up, Real looks like. Let’s see, let me just…

do this and this and this and this. Okay, this is a basic calendar week. I mean, it looks pretty bland because I took all my other calls off. But every single Monday, unless I’m like, completely out of office, or there’s a holiday or something like that. But most Mondays, we do something called content Mondays, which is content co working. I usually have a

prompt that I give everyone in some direction. It’s very customizable. like it’s co-working so you could work on whatever you would like. But the point of this is to create content or create connections. So we do that every Monday. So every Monday there is a place where you can go and work on your content. I try not to coach on those calls. Sometimes I’ll do a little bit of like little bit of coaching, light coaching, but we try. I don’t coach on those calls.

but they are meant for you to have time and make time to create content. Then we have a Tuesday morning call, I guess morning for me in the Pacific Standard Time, but it’s a 10 a.m. PST call. And then on Thursdays, we have a 3 p.m. PST call. So you can choose from those two. And then every so often we’ll have trainings or events or other kind of things.

And then I wanted to show you one more thing before I let you go. I wanted to show you, and you might have seen it already, but I wanted to show you the sales page and I wanna call out a couple of things that I just want you to keep in mind. let me be clear here too, before I forget, because it’s very important. There is a 48 hour bonus that starts today, that starts right now.

or when this webinar started. And the bonus is a 90 minute intensive with me one-on-one. And during that, I’m calling it marketing message intensive. Sorry, that’s my dog, if you can hear my dog. During this call, we’re going to do a couple of things. Number one, we’re going to audit your content and audit your messaging. And audit, when I say audit, like it’s kind of collaborative, right? Because there’s…

The feedback that I have as brand new eyes on your content, and then there’s the making of your content system and the making of your content strategy. So as much as I’m gonna give you feedback on it, know that when we audit this, we’re looking to make content work for you. That’s the whole point here is I want you to create more content, but not from a place of…

I need to make more content from a place of like, I could fucking say whatever the fuck I want to say anytime I want in my content. Excuse me. Excuse all the f-bombs. So I just want to be clear. There’s a 48 hour bonus. So when you join within 48 hours by Friday end of day, you will get this bonus. And if you pay full price, there’s an additional bonus.

an additional 90 minute intensive, and that one’s focused on mindset, which I could talk about in a little bit. But I just want to mention that because if you’re seriously considering joining, I want to invite you to join within the 48 hour window. Okay. So let’s go through this. I just want to show you a a couple of things.

So you already saw the inside of the group, but like the two main things we’re working on inside the program is building your community and creating clients. Like those are the, those are the two things you creating like money in your business is very important to me, but it’s also very important to me and you, if you’re here, I assume is that you grow a better relationship with your content, that you make it this less serious thing and this

place that you can go to to grow, to lead, to be vulnerable. Now, of course, we’re not trauma dumping in our content, of course, but we are leading and that community is yours. So, what did I want to show you? Hold on one second. So, this kind of goes over what we want inside of the program. this is what I wanted to show you just like altogether so you could see it. So, the

program is 12 months long and remember you get two times a month coaching. So six times a month of coaching calls and soon we’re going to be splitting them up between mindset calls and strategy calls. Although there’s could be a little bit of room for both. There’s obviously the curriculum that you already saw the communication hub. There’s two hour content weekly content, coworking weekly on demand content reviews.

on-demand social media audits. Okay, the podcast, I didn’t show you that. The podcast is typically the group coaching calls that we have or any trainings that we put on. I’ll probably put this training on there. Excuse me, it’s a lot of talking. That will be on the private podcast. You have the Selling Stories Workshop and all the resources that came in there.

and then cringe challenge. And I will say we, I’m changing the program quite a bit in only adding stuff to it. So there’s lots to come, but the program is $2,000 or it paid in full or eight payments of 275, which I don’t have my phone near me, but I don’t think it’s like wildly different.

Um, it could be exactly 2000 or if it’s more than 2000, it shouldn’t be too much. Um, too much more, but this is the 90 minute intensive. So it’s a content strategy audit and plan and we’ll map out your content strategy, your community building and your messaging. And that ends Friday. And if you have any questions or things that I didn’t talk about, can you please feel free to just DM me questions.

whether it’s an audio DM, whether, I don’t even care if you call me on Instagram. Like I think you could call people. I’m actually much of a talker. Like I like, I’m a person who picks up the phone and calls my friends still. So I, I, I don’t care about that stuff. I’m, I have boundaries and I will enforce them, but I am never worried about people bugging me or anything like that because I’m pretty good at keeping my boundaries. So don’t worry about that.

But if you have any questions, please, please, please, please, like just DM me your questions and let’s have a real honest, open conversation about it. But what’s important to me is that you grow your business the way you want to grow your business. You get the coaching you need and you just stop hating content and really challenge yourself to see…

content and create in this way where you’re free and you have a lot to say and you could play. Like one thing I love to do with content is to, and this is a strategy I have now, but one part of my strategy with content now is that I’m allowed to do the trending audios that sound fun to me. Like it’s important for me to keep making content fun.

So I have to be on top of doing like the short form reels that sound fun to me. I could find a way to relate it to my business. Not that it has to, sometimes I just post it for fun, whatever, but like, I want you to have that freedom. I want you to not take it so seriously. I want you to treat your business as this thing that you get to play and you get to have fun with.

especially in your marketing, because it’s all about connecting with people and helping them see you as a human who has an expertise who can help them. But I wanted to show you some of my clients. I realized I didn’t even look at the chat. on. Questions, questions, no questions. OK, if you have any questions, let me know. Like even if they’re just random questions. Thanks so much. OK, yeah, no worries.

All right, so I just wanted to show you some of my clients. this is Louise. This is the one I talked about. She’s a Louise Slaughter. Oh, yeah. She’s a women in trades life coach. Tashina’s in our program. She’s focuses on LinkedIn. Tashina is a leadership coach for women of color in teams. And she is someone that I have seen her go from not really posting or posting erratically. This woman is

consistent now and she actually was just on a call the other day and she’s switching her niche. Well, she’s not switching her niche. She’s just like double downing on on the part of her niche and working with with more companies and I’m so excited for her. This is Jackie now Jackie is an etiquette and life coach. She has a really good story. So I remember there’s a specific time I was coaching her because she had two workshops.

for her etiquette coaching, because she had a lot of buzz around her etiquette coaching. And she came to me very frustrated in like May of, I think it was last year, 2024. And she was really frustrated because she was trying to book out these two workshops and only a couple people signed up for each for the etiquette coaching. And we ended up talking through an entire…

higher strategy. And I told her, if you want to launch these things, you have to give people time. Like, people are thinking about, because this was etiquette coaching was specifically for kids and summer school, I mean, like summer camp. I was like, I recommend you start in March and then keep talking about it until May and June. So this year,

She did that and she sold out her summer offer in, I want to say like April or the beginning of May. It was so, so good. She’s also grown her following, but, and she recently had a brand photo shoot, which is so exciting. But she is a dedicated and life coach and she is someone who just wanted to create more content and secure more corporate clients, which she has done inside of Show Up Real.

This is Brenda. She’s been in the program for a long time. She is an ADHD coach and therapist and ADHD expert. She actually is now my ADHD coach. She’s been in the program for a long time, but I just hired her to be my ADHD coach. But before that, she’s been in the program for almost two years and Brenda tripled her following inside of the program and doubled her revenue. She is someone who was definitely posting.

when she got into the program, but she was posting like every once in a while. And one thing I challenged her to do this year actually was to host a webinar. And again, when I challenge my clients to do something, it’s because we’ve had coaching about it, like around it, and there was a reason behind it. But with her, I really challenged her to create a webinar and create buzz. Because one thing that’s important to me is that every, like that you realize that

you have like, there are things you can’t control and then there’s things you can control. And in her case, she wanted to learn how to create demand. And she also wanted to center her content around a specific topic. So I challenged her to do a webinar and she ended up having multiple sales calls. She signed

I forget how many clients, well, she signed me during that time, but she all, I want to say she might’ve signed like two more or I forget how many more, but all one-on-ones, but she is someone who’s really done the work. I think the, like the thing I’m more impressed with, with Brenda is like, if you would’ve met her in the beginning, it was very much a struggle to show up. And by earlier this year, like during the webinar, but actually before the webinar, she was doing

Instagram lives weekly. Like that is a huge deal for this woman and just seeing her growth has been incredible, like really, really incredible. Now this is Yeti. This is a perfect story because she’s different. Yeti is an experienced content creator. She came in as a blogger who had been blogging for many, many, many years. Okay.

So she has a huge blog audience. She’s also an engineer. She’s a blogger. She also owns an affirmation deck company. I want to say she owns multiple affirmation deck companies, but the specific one that she owns is Black Men Affirmed Affirmation Deck. And she’s also a life and mindset coach. Now she is someone who…

She’s so experienced with content, but she wanted to learn how to sell with content. And that was the shift for her because I mean, you could go follow her. is like, she, she gets all the, like she gets the engagement, like she gets the community. She, she, she knows a lot. Okay. But she wanted to learn how to sell with content and that is what she has been doing and is continuing doing.

She signed obviously 6K in less than six months, but now this was a little while ago. Now she’s challenging herself to get fully booked inside of the program. And I want to say today, she told me actually today that she was launching her webinar. So I’m going to go check out her page after this. What time is it? Okay. Okay. This is someone else who was very experienced, but also kind of, I challenge her in a different direction. So

Rose Emily doubled her monthly income from her blog. So she came in really trying to, she wanted to sell coaching. But when we started, when I started learning more about her business, you guys will be so surprised by this. When I started learning more about her business, I realized that she not, she had a money making blog.

was already making like a thousand bucks a month, and she had a YouTube channel with over hundred thousand followers, and she had a second YouTube channel with like, I don’t know, like 50,000 followers. One was in Spanish and one was for English for her food blog. So after finding all this out,

I actually challenged her because one thing about her specifically is like it was very much a much a mindset shift she needed. So one thing with Rosemily is I challenged her to focus on growing her blog first. And here’s why I challenged her in this way because one it was working like this was an area she was already making money in. So literally

All she needed to do was like double down on the same thing she was doing. When you think about the effort that it takes to do that, it’s just low hanging fruit. I hate when people say low hanging fruit, but it’s, it’s like, it’s easier because you’re more experienced in it. Right? So she did that and she doubled. And I have a podcast episode with her too, if you want to go check it out. But, she did that and she, was, it was so exciting. She got her blog all the way up to, I want to say six.

thousand dollars in one month. This is her blog, y’all. This is her blog. So that was a really, that’s, I don’t know, that’s, that was a really exciting story to me. And then this is Nicole. she was just on the podcast last week. We’ll be adding more here too. I need to update this, but regardless, I wanted to share those stories with you because I want you to see what’s possible. I want you to see like the mindset shifts that people have and

just like what is possible when you look at your business and look at the way you’re thinking about content and really get focused on like, let me fix this relationship with content specifically. Okay. Are there any questions, thoughts, anything I can help you with? If not, I’m happy to tell you a little bit more about Show Up Real and well, I’ll say one thing.

I mean, if you allow, feel free to go off anytime. But one thing I want to share with you inside of the program is the importance of the coaching calls. I think a lot of people, like there are clients who have not even been to or have not been to the coaching calls, like newer clients have not been to the coaching calls yet. And, and

they still get value just from going to the calls. Well, I was gonna say something about you, Ruby, but you often go to the calls. But Ruby is someone who I feel like she goes to the calls very often. She doesn’t ask for coaching all the time, but she’s implementing behind the scenes. She’s doing the mindset work. She’s doing the content work. She also had to switch up her strategy based off

off of her life circumstances. And she’s someone with a business and a child and just like, not a child, four children. I think it’s four children. And just has, you know, has had to adjust her business for her life and her family and other things. And still is doing the work. Her goal right now is signing a client a month. And she just signed a, like a client last, last month, I think.

and the coach, like going to the coaching calls, whether you get coached or not, although I always like to at least offer to coach you, you will get one-on-one coaching. And I want to be clear about this one-on-one within the group, right? So I want to be clear about what the group looks like, the group coaching calls, the group coaching calls will look something like this. Usually they have their cameras on no pressure, but usually the cameras will be on and you’ll raise your hand just like this.

I can’t do it. Wait, can I do it? Yeah. So it kind of looked like this. You raise your hand when you get in the room and then we go one by one and I’ll coach you one by one. And that’s usually what it looks like. And you have lots of opportunities because we coach twice a week and then you could also get coaching inside of Slack between that time. So if you’re in the middle of a launch or if you have a webinar happening and I don’t know.

something happens that’s like triggering, you can always go and get coaching and get what you need inside of the Slack channel. Outside of that, if you, I am going to be putting on a virtual event that is not launch related in, I want to say September, I forget what the dates are now. It’s going to be a two to three day event focused on getting

fully booked and I’m just going to be teaching brand new content, some related to sales and some related to content. It’ll be like a mix of both, but there’s a lot where like I’m always trying to add more. When I first created the program, there was one sales call. I mean, there was one call a week and that was it. But just recently, I want to say a month or two ago, we added the content coworking and then we added an additional call every week.

So based on the needs of everyone within the group, we will shift. I will add things and yeah, I’m here. I’m at all the calls mostly. Sometimes we have guest speakers too. I think actually the first two weeks of August, I’m taking some time off, but I have some really amazing speakers. One of them is a client inside of Show Up Real. Another is a long-term client of mine, a really successful coach who…

who’s going to be coaching within the program as well, just in my absence. But yeah, anytime like I’m out of town, we’ll have guest coaches there. And the guest coaches that I have on are very intentional when I bring them in. But I think that is it. I have to go pick up my baby soon. If you are considering working with me, if you’re considering joining Show Up Real, join the program.

DM me, send me an audio with any questions you have, any thoughts you have. Talk to me. Like, let’s talk about your goals and where you want to go and let’s get your business where you want it to be. But to get there, to get there, I’m going to ask you to do the work and to do the mind, if you join, not if you don’t join. I mean, you can take it from my content, but if you join, just be ready.

to, for me to be asking you and to be very interested in your business and where you want it to go. One thing I want to be clear about too is the importance of you owning your, your, how do I want to say this? Like, I always want you to know that like, here’s the thing I’ve been in a lot of coaching programs and

The strategies I teach inside of show up real, they are created that way based off my experience and based off the experience I have with clients. But it’s not the end all be all. Like there is no blueprint to a successful business. There’s only the blueprint that you create within your business to grow it. But you get inside of these programs. get inside, like you get in close proximity with mentors and coaches and

and people who are growing and interested in growth, when you get inside of those spaces, not only will it help you grow, but sometimes what can happen is that you can kind of take the seat, get into the program, and you might think that there’s like the only way to do things. And one thing that’s important to me inside of Show Up Real is, look, the strategies that I teach you are true and tried and…

purely based off of my experiences and the experiences of my clients, but it’s not the end all be all, but I will hold you to like be the owner of your business, right? Cause you’re the only one who can take action. You’re the only one who can actually do the work and I will challenge you to do that. Okay. So I hope I get to work with all of you. I hope I get to see you with today’s Wednesday. Yeah. The first coaching calls tomorrow. So if you want to get coached tomorrow, let’s get coached.

and get, and if you join by tomorrow, you’ll get the 48 hour bonus. So the 48 hour bonus will go quickly. Okay. It will go quickly. If you are seriously, seriously interested in working together, let’s mother effing do it. You, once you pay, you’ll get full access to the, I’m thinking, yeah, you’ll get full access to the program. You’ll get full access to the modules.

and you’ll be able to join tomorrow’s call. And if you join too, you’ll be able to join Monday’s content co-working. Usually during the content co-working, what I do is I post, I’ll just have like one slide up. I mean, I’ll be there, but I’ll have one slide up where I give you three steps to take action on during the content co-working. You could choose one or you could do all three. They’re not like huge, but

That’s what we do during the content co-working and you can get in action ASAP. But I will say if you join, I’m going to challenge you to actually watch the videos. I remember there was a time when I would buy these and you wouldn’t watch the videos. But let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. I have been in so many programs and masterminds and I’ve been in pro like here’s what I’ll tell you in the programs that I was with.

million dollar earners, multi-million dollar earners, you would be so surprised to find that those were the people who were spending all the time they needed watching all the videos and learning and taking action and doing all the things. So don’t come in with an attitude of, not going to watch the videos. You don’t have to watch all of them immediately. Take your time. Like there’s no rushing, right? But I am going to challenge you because I’m going to be coaching you.

from that strategy, also understanding your business so that you can get where you want to go. Because at the end of the day, I just want you to get where you want to go. If you want to build an audience, let’s get your fucking audience built. If you want to grow your business, get fully booked, let’s get fully booked, right? It’s all on your terms. You get to choose. I’m here to coach you. I’m here to help you through that process. And I think what’s most important for me is that when you are doing that, that you are doing it from an authentic place.

You’re being you and your business and you’re giving yourself all the permission you need to be human, to be a beginner, to try again, to fail without shame, to do all of that. Okay. All right. Now I really got to go. I will see you later. DM me if you are still here. I know that you have a little interest. So can you DM me? Let’s talk on Instagram and I’ll send you an audio, you send me an audio or if you’re not comfortable with it, you could send me a text.

But I’m very, I’m more of an audio girl, so I might audio you back, but I would love to understand where your business is at so I could get ahead of like where your head’s at and I’ll be honest with you if this program is good for you, okay? All right, I will see you later. I send you a big hug. Mwah, mwah, mwah. Have a good one. I will be sending you a lot of emails for the rest of this launch, but remember the 48 hour bonus ends Friday. Okay, bye.
