[00:00:00] My name is Catalina Del Carmen, and I am a wife, mother of two, daughter of immigrants, and rule-breaking business coach for women of color coaches, creatives, and service professionals. I spent years trying to figure out the online business game, creating fashion blogs, YouTube channels, Instagram pages, email lists, and more. It’s all of the things with little or nothing to show for it. Now, I run a growing multiple six-figure coaching business, keeping things radically simple so I can spend more time with my babies than my business. Inside my programs, Show Up Real and Show Up and Lead Mastermind, I teach my clients how to build an online community using authentic, revenue-generating content. Content that doesn’t require them to be everywhere.
[00:01:00] Whether it’s your first four figures in business or six figures in my mastermind, less is more when you are committed to growing your impact and revenue at the same time. In this show, I tell the whole mother effing truth about what it takes to build and scale an online business. I don’t gatekeep. I don’t tell you half the truth. I keep it real and I will challenge you to do it as well. Welcome to the Show Up Real podcast.
I hope you are doing well. I am mentally getting so prepped for the launch of Show Up and Lead Mastermind. I am pouring into this program in the next month because it’s going to change quite a bit. Um, there’s a lot. Basically, every single thing inside the program is being updated, evolving, elevated. It’s going to be a brand new program by September. So I am, I’ve just been thinking so much about what I want to turn this offer into and what I want people to achieve inside of it. So it’s been fun. It’s been really cool.
Outside of that, I have just been enjoying summer. I feel like every time I have a podcast episode this summer, I’m like, I’m enjoying my kids. I’m taking so much vacation. Um, so I won’t get into that, but it’s finally hot in LA and we’re just, and I’m, I’m just enjoying the summer, but I will say that I have been avoiding working out because I really love taking walks and I like going on runs, but I hate running in hot weather. It’s like a pet peeve of
[00:03:00] mine. And I used to run a lot. So when I was younger, I ran. I mean, I, I just used to, that was like my workout of choice was running. I ran two half marathons. I, I just ran a lot of miles in my life and now I’m trying to get into running again, but I hate running in like, not even just hot weather, just like anything close to hot. Like if it’s in the 70s, I’m pretty much not happy with it. So I’m trying to get other workouts in, like Orange Theory, and I really want to get a new gym. But anyways, doing well. I hope you are too. I want to talk about getting your one-on-one coaching offer completely booked out. So for those of you who don’t know my story, I spent many years creating content,
[00:04:00] hopping from like YouTube and Instagram and a blog and a whole bunch of random stuff. And when I started my podcast in 2019, at the very, very end of 2019, I spent 2020 really just learning how to market, learning how to grow something online, like grow a community, right? I spent a lot of time collaborating with people and creating conversations and really just committing to getting eyes and ears on my podcast and on my Instagram. Now, by the end of that year, 2020, I created a podcast course. I created a group program that was all about personal branding. And then in 2021, I really decided to simplify my business because I was so burnt out and just focus on one-on-ones. And I had this mentality of like, I just want to become really
[00:05:00] good at what I do. If I focus on really helping my clients get results, if I focus on becoming a great coach, right? Like if I focus on those two things, I really do trust the money will come because marketing was a muscle I had already been flexing. So that year, 2021, I brought in 200K. I think it was like 214K or something like that in sales, all through one-on-one coaching. All through one-on-one coaching. So that year I worked a lot of hours. When I tell you, I mean, that was like my freshman and sophomore year. That’s what it felt like in the coaching world. Like I really grew experience. I think I, I don’t
[00:06:00] remember the exact number, but I took on so many clients at multiple points within the year. I want to say like two or three points within the year I was taking in about 20 clients in one single week, every single week. Right. And it didn’t always, I would say fluctuated between 15 and 20, but that became my lifestyle. And I had to learn how to grow my capacity really, really quickly because I had such little time to market my business. I had such little time to work on the inside of my business because I was just really focused on getting results, getting clients, helping them get results, and really just earning my stripes as a coach. Now, when I look back at that year, there were so many lessons that I had learned, some things I wish I would have done, some things that I didn’t even think about that I probably would think about now.
[00:07:00] So I wanted to create this episode to really break down the kind of mindset you have to have, but also the strategies you have to take action on to fully get your one-on-one coaching fully booked. And the reason I value, um, not even I value, the reason the coaching industry typically will recommend that you take on one-on-ones before you scale to group is because not just for the experience level. The experience level is one thing. Like for some people, they need more experience coaching actual humans and not just coaching any humans, coaching humans that chose them, coaching humans that paid them, right? Because the relationship can be so much different. So that’s number
[00:08:00] one. There’s so much value in one-on-one coaching and I think so many people want to get out of it and get into group really quickly. But the reality is there are so many more pieces to the puzzle if you want to launch a group program. And I don’t actually think you have to do it that way. Let me make it really clear. But inside my group coaching programs, I’m going to have a whole list of questions. If you want to scale into group, when you haven’t fully booked your one-on-one coaching guys. And the reason is I just don’t want you to dive into problems that your business isn’t ready to fix, or maybe you aren’t ready to fix yet. Right. So I’m always going to recommend one-on-one first and to get fully booked. And that really is the first milestone I want you to hit inside of Show Up and Lead Mastermind and that’s what I’m prepping for right now in terms of launching and things like that. So I’m going to be talking a lot about the challenges that happen when you’re growing your business to six-figure offers and multiple six-figure offers. I’ll be talking about that in the next couple months, but I wanted to start by talking about how to get fully booked with one-on-one clients. I believe you can do that in three months. Like all you need is a three-month commitment to book out your spots. So I’m going to be going through one, two, three, four, five, six, six steps. Okay. I’m going to be going through these six steps to get fully booked in three months. Okay. In three months. And that’s what I want you to challenge yourself to do. Obviously it has to be the right three
[00:10:00] months, right? Like if you’re postpartum, maybe not a good idea. If you have a lot going on in the next three months, probably not a good idea. But I want you to know that it’s fully possible to do that in a quarter. You just do it in a quarter. It really, really is possible. Okay. All right, let’s talk about the six steps and get into it. Number one, the first thing that you really have to do if you want to get fully booked in three months, in 90 days, is align with your commitment. You have to decide to commit. It has to be something that you are focused on for the next three months. It has to be something that you are trying to achieve in the next three months. It’s not going to be like, this isn’t going to happen by
[00:11:00] you posting some more. It’s not going to happen by you switching up your Instagram strategy. It’s not going to happen because you put on a webinar. No, that’s not how it works. Your eye has to be on the fully booked prize. It’s the, like the vision is the number of people coming in and you’re not stopping until you hit it. Okay. And I know it can sound very hustly, but if you want to do it in three months, then you really do have to reprioritize some things. Okay. You do have to reprioritize some things and really commit to the goal. Commit to getting fully booked. We’ll talk about what fully booked actually means, but that’s step number one.
Okay. Step number two, you have to figure out what fully booked is for you. Now, this might sound really, really basic, but I want you to hear me out.
[00:12:00] When I was booking out my one-on-one coaching, I didn’t know when I should be done. Like, and I remember I was working with a coach at the time and she was like, well, what is your goal? What is the number you want to hit? And for me, it was 20 clients. And that’s what I hit. I mean, I think at first it was 15 and I hit that and I was like, okay, let me keep going. I have the capacity to do more. So I did 20 clients. I was doing 20 clients per week and I did that for about six months and it was a lot of work, but it gave me so much understanding of who I wanted to work with, who I didn’t want to work with, what I wanted to teach, what I didn’t want to teach, all the things. Right. So you have to get really clear on what fully booked is for you. And let me give you some tips on how to
[00:13:00] actually do that. So first and foremost, how much money do you want to make? Right. In the next three months, how much money do you want to make? Then I want you to figure out, all right, how many clients do you think you can take on? Like how much bandwidth do you actually have? And you want to stretch yourself a little bit. So maybe you would think five clients is a good amount. You want to stretch yourself and say, okay, let me aim for eight or 10. Right. And that’s going to be your stretch goal. And you’re going to stretch yourself for those three months and really take on more clients than you’re used to so that you can get experience, so you can get data, so you can get an understanding of how your offer is really helping people. And there’s so many things, right? So you
[00:14:00] want to think about how much money you want to make. You want to think about your bandwidth and stretch it a little bit. And then I want you to really make sure that your prices are solid, right? I always tell my clients to just go with a 90-day commitment because it’s easier for people to think about making this decision for three months rather than six months. Right. And a three-month commitment typically is an amount that you can really show results in. So go for the three months, 90 days, figure out your pricing and really create a goal. Like I want to take 10 clients or eight clients in the next three months. Right. So you’re going to come up with that goal. And that’s step number two is to really know what your goal is, figure out your bandwidth, figure out your pricing, and set a goal that is really
[00:15:00] going to challenge you, but also help you grow your business. Okay. Step number three, create an irresistible offer. Okay. Create an offer that people can’t say no to. Now, let me be clear. I don’t want you to create a new offer if you already have one-on-one coaching, right? Like if you already have an offer, I don’t want you to create a new one-on-one offer. However, if you’re still figuring out your offer, if you don’t have anything in place yet, or maybe you have an offer, but you don’t feel confident in it, I want you to really take some time to think about what you want to put in this one-on-one coaching offer. Okay. And here’s the thing. Your offer is always going to evolve. It’s always going to get better. It’s always going to change. So even if you feel really good about your offer, there’s always
[00:16:00] room for improvement. But I want you to create an irresistible offer. And I want you to think about how can I make this so, so good that people are literally like, I have to sign up for this. Right. Like this is so good. I have to sign up for this. Okay. So some tips on that is to really focus on the result, like focus on the transformation, focus on what people are going to get out of it. Right. And think about what would make this an absolute no brainer for people to sign up for. So that might mean adding some bonuses that might mean adding, you know, different things to your offer. It really is going to depend on your niche and your ideal client. But the point is to make it so, so good that people are like, I have to sign up for this. Right. So I want you to think about what would make it a no brainer. And then also think about what is going to make it
[00:17:00] super valuable for your client. Like what is going to help them get the result that they want. Right. So that is step number three is to create an irresistible offer. Step number four, market the hell out of your offer. Like market the hell out of your offer. I want you to talk about your offer all the time. I want you to talk about it on social media. I want you to talk about it on your email list. I want you to talk about it on your podcast. I want you to talk about it everywhere. Okay. I want you to market the hell out of your offer and really make sure that people know about it. Okay. This is not the time to be shy. This is not the time to be like, oh, I don’t want to bother people. No, I want you to market the hell out of your offer and make sure that people know about it. Okay. Step number five, I want you to create a
[00:18:00] launch plan. Okay. Create a launch plan. And what I mean by that is I want you to have a plan for how you’re going to launch this offer. So that might mean doing a webinar that might mean doing a challenge that might mean doing a series of live videos. It really depends on what you want to do, but I want you to have a plan in place for how you’re going to launch this offer. Okay. And the reason I want you to have a plan is because I want you to be intentional about how you’re going to market this offer. Okay. I don’t want you to just throw things at the wall and see what sticks. I want you to have a plan in place for how you’re going to launch this offer. Okay. And step number six is to execute the plan. Like execute the plan, follow through with the plan, do the things that you said you were going to do. Okay. And really commit to
[00:19:00] making this happen in the next three months. Okay. So those are the six steps to getting fully booked with one-on-one clients in the next three months. Okay. Number one, align with your commitment. Number two, figure out what fully booked is for you. Number three, create an irresistible offer. Number four, market the hell out of your offer. Number five, create a launch plan. And number six, execute the plan. Okay. I hope this was helpful. I hope this gave you some clarity on how you can get fully booked with one-on-one clients in the next three months. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. I’m always here to help. And I will talk to you in the next episode. Bye.
