EP 221. How I Filled My New Program with 40 Humans in Two Days

What is up y’all? Welcome back to Latinas Booked Out Podcast. I hope you are doing well. I am so pumped about today’s episode. I am breaking down a big milestone that I hit with the launch of Show Up Real. And I want to tell you guys all about it. I want to unpack it. I want to give you the full, full, full story because I think sometimes, you know, the.
The, the big milestone always looks great and dandy, but the reality sometimes looks a little different. So I want to share how I filled my new program with 40 amazing [00:02:00] humans in two days of the launch that I put together. And I want to just give you some background on what my mindset had to be to create these kind of the results.
And then also. What strategies really, really, really worked well. Okay. So that’s what we’re working on today. Or that’s what I’m explaining today is breaking this down before I start the episode though I do want to invite you to join Show Up Real today. I have four strategies that have helped me create this result. And I want you, I want you to really take what you need from this episode and implement it. For you, using self trust, use like using your own intuition.
Okay. All right, let’s get down to the nitty gritty. All right. So number one, how did I fill up my launch with 40 humans in two [00:04:00] days? Number one is I launched when I was ready, when my business. Was ready. I’m going to repeat that. I launched this program when my business and I as the CEO was ready. I waited many, many years to launch this program.
I didn’t know exactly what it would look like, but I knew that I wanted a lower ticket. Like program that really shared that I could pour into and that I would share like all of the not secrets, but like all of the things I wish I would have known when I got started and. I remember when I, I thought I already knew I wanted to have this program back in.
When was it? It was probably around June [00:05:00] of 2021. I had hit 6 figures in my business. And in 6 months, so it happened really, really quickly and I remember thinking, I can’t wait. I want to do a group program and I actually intended to put a group program together. That was lower ticket as my 1st group program and I was coached out of it.
And I was so upset with that coaching. I remember I went to my first mastermind, I paid 25, 000 to be there and I got coached to stick with one on one until the end of the year, clean up some things in my business and then launch. I was devastated. Now I’m always in control of my own business, but I remember at that time I was so frustrated and I felt like they didn’t understand and I just was so upset.
That being said, after I did a lot of coaching [00:06:00] with myself and reflecting, I decided to not go through the and I really told myself, look, If my business like I want to create this program when I am at my best when I am like a hundred and ten percent sure that I could help people get X results. Okay, that was like what I, my intention was like, I want to get better because when I have this program, I want to be so sure about.
The, like, my own competence, my own experience, right? Like, at that time when I wanted to launch this program, I really was still fresh, right? Like, I was still very fresh in my learnings. I had just made my first six figures. Now I’ve made five six figures since then, right? So, [00:07:00] I’m a lot more experienced now.
And when I say I waited to launch this program until my business and my eye was ready, one was my business, my business had. At that time, I had very little systems. I had almost no leadership with my VA that I had at that time. I, there was a lot of things in my business that needed a lot of work behind the scenes.
My client experience, my organization, my lack of planning. Like there was so much I wasn’t ready for at that time. And. As much as I was so frustrated in delaying what I really wanted, the truth is, I made such a good decision. My willingness to be patient [00:08:00] with my business and with my growth, my willingness to practice constraint.
And not just put things out because I feel like it or because I think it’s going to get me like to my goal faster. Right? Like, that wasn’t the energy for years and years and years. I told myself, I’m going to have this program. I don’t know when it’s going to come out, but when it does, it’s going to be good.
Like it’s going to be so, so, so I waited years I stuck with the plan I made years ago with my mastermind. I do this. I do this 3 year plan with them, right? It’s like an exercise we do and it really helps you. See the long term of your business and be dedicated to that goal. Okay, and [00:09:00] when I created mine in 2021, I really, really, really was firm on, like, this program would exist, but I don’t know when it would exist, and I am so proud of myself for not rushing into this program earlier than this year because.
I’m so much better fit to serve my, like these 40 humans, I’m so much better fit to serve them and I’m excited to serve them and here’s the best part, I have capacity. To serve them. Not only do I have capacity to serve them, my business is set up to serve them. My business can handle 40 clients overnight.
Imagine 40 new clients in two days [00:10:00] and what you would need to kind of change in your program, systems you’d need to fix, like Whatever comes to mind, imagine you not being prepared and ready for that. And I’ll just tell you, I wasn’t, I wasn’t prepared and ready. Like in 2021, I was so not prepared and ready for a group program of this size and honestly, not even a program.
Like I wasn’t even really ready to launch, like start launching. It’s such a big project to launch a new program. And I did it within just one month of also hosting the biggest event my business has has ever put on. For my mastermind, and they were one month from apart from each other. And I remember this was a big challenge that I decided on, but I knew I was ready [00:11:00] for the growth.
I knew that I was ready for the up level and I just decided it. I got coaching when I needed it and I trusted the coaching I got and I went with it. My coach said, I told her all these things. I was like, I have this going on. I have this going on. I’m trying to fix this behind the scenes. My team has this going on.
Like there’s all these things moving parts. I’m like, I think it’s too much. I think I’m going to stretch myself. And she was like, no, I think you’re good. Like, it’s just going to be a little, it’s going to be a little bit messy, but you’re good. You got it. And instead of fighting her, I was like, all right, she knows more than me.
Like she legit knows more than me, by the way, this is Kirsten rolled on. I am in her mastermind. It’s such a great mastermind. And the reason that I literally waited to launch this program till I was so much more seasoned in my business as an entrepreneur, as a coach, as a c e O, as a, like my business was ready for this, was because I decided to, to take the coaching I got in 2021. And I, I created a plan for my business and I stuck with it.
And I was like, I will launch this when my business is ready. And earlier this year, when I started this year, I, I kind of, I wasn’t sure, but I told myself, I think this is the year. I think this is the year. And as I really started, Moving, you know, moving things around in my business, I decided to, to [00:13:00] launch this program probably back in, I don’t know, March, something like that, February, March.
And since then. I have really been committed to like, okay, what is this program going to turn into? What are we going to do? What is going to look like and really evolving it and growing it? So, my 1st, 1st, 1st piece of advice for you is don’t launch. Because you want to be further along, don’t rush your success.
There is beauty in going quickly. So I’m not hating on going quickly. There is a lot of growth that happens because of it. But I think the reason, one of the reasons I had 40 humans sign up in two days is because I built a fuck ton of demand. [00:14:00] People had been waiting years for me to put out this program, put out this program that would meet them at their level, and I spent years telling myself, I swear, like, I know there’s people that, like, want to work with me at this level.
I know there’s people that want to work with me. When it comes to marketing, when it comes to content, when it comes to where they are in business, and although I knew it was there, I still waited for me to be ready to serve them because I didn’t want them to come into a hot mess of a program.
There is beauty in, in movement and business and going, you know, a nice little pace, but rushing to success. Is only going to mean rushing [00:15:00] through growth and that’s fine, but you better, you better be ready for what comes with that growth because what comes with quicker growth, right? Like going fast, what comes with that is really being able to hold a lot, a lot, a lot of motions, a lot of emotions.
And I’ve become very good at holding a ton of emotions. I’m just okay with it. I’ve learned to deal with it. I’ve learned to just accept that I’m going to feel FOMO. There’s so many times where I would see like friends or people have their programs and they were lower ticket. Around the range that I wanted to sell mine at.
And I remember thinking, wow, like I, I wish I was there. I want to be there so bad. Like, when am I going to be ready? And [00:16:00] it wasn’t like, cause here’s the thing is I could have launched the program anytime I freaking wanted. Right. And that’s fine. But I wanted to. One, I really wanted to grow the demand. Two, I really wanted to become good.
Like I wanted to be great for the people I wanted to serve. I didn’t want it to be a version of me who was less experienced. I’m like so experienced for this group of people now, right? So experienced. So now I’m so confident in my skill to help every person in this group at scale. Get results through this program and we’re just getting started.
This program is going to evolve. Like right now, this is like the bare bones of the program, but like, there are lots of things that I have in mind to serve this group of people. And it’s all because I launched when I was ready and I launched when my business was ready [00:17:00] and I got to my, I got my business to a really good place.
So that I could launch this program and really be ready to serve. And that took constraint, it took patience, and I’m so glad, I’m so, so, so glad I did it this way because what you get when you do practice those things is so much demand. Demands that is just brewing. So, okay, that’s number one. Number two, eliminate scarcity circumstances.
Now, look, one thing I’ve practiced a lot of in my business in the last two years, especially last year, going through my pregnancy, is going months without making money and really testing how sustainable my business could be. Y’all think people are out here rolling in dough. Because they’re making multiple 6 figures, like even 300, 400 K, [00:18:00] like, yes, it’s a lot of money, but it’s also like, not that much money because I, I think at this at the multiple 6 figure level.
And, and when I say that, I mean, as little as 200 K and as. High as like probably, I don’t know, 500, 600 K there’s a lot of money, but there’s also a lot of, there’s a lot of money you’re pouring into your business. Like I’m really in a place where. I want to pour as much money as I can into my business. Now, there are things I have to pay for, right?
There are things I have to pay for in my life that I pay my, you know, like I, my, the salary I have pays for those things. So I can’t just like, stop everything and like, do whatever I want. But when I say eliminates scarcity circumstances is I really, really [00:19:00] want you to consider that. Like, if needing money.
Is important in for you right now, which I mean, if you’re a human and you have bills to pay, it’s important, right? But if it’s going to get in the way of you growing your business, then you have to look at the circumstances and either change them, come up with a list of all of the things you can do as plan B, plan C, plan all, all of the plans.
Like, I want you to have a freaking alphabet of plans for money because that scarcity will seep through your business. That scarcity, that money scarcity. It will, it’s literally like a poison for your business, unless you [00:20:00] look at your business differently. I say this from a really privileged place, but also I say this from a place of, I mean, just from a place of like, feeling like I’m never going to.
Get to where I want to be. Trust me. Every like many, many times this year, I’ve been like, when am I going to really start making that kind of money? I want to make, when am I going to? And I think you could relate to that. A lot of people could relate to that. A lot of my clients could relate to that. We’re so are I so focused on the amount of money we want to make in our business, which is normal and which is okay.
But when. If you are in such a negative mindset and such scarcity around money, it is going to seep into your business and how you show up in your content and how you make decisions in your business. So what I want you to do [00:21:00] is I want you to create some plans. What are you going to do if this happens?
What are you going to do if that happens? Make the decisions ahead of time because the reality is we have decisions. Like, if we, if, if all hell broke loose, Paul and I will, my husband and I will talk about this. I’d be like, if you lost your job, what would we do? And right now he pays the majority of the bills.
I’d say he pays like 70, 60 to 70 and I pay some of our biggest bills, um, which is childcare. And besides that, and outside of that, we’re like pretty debt free, like we’re lucky enough to where when we bought our house, we paid off all of our debts, including our student loans, which was amazing in the last year.
When we look at this, when we have this conversation, we like, I come up with my plan and I’m like, okay, if this happens, then I’ll have to [00:22:00] do this and you’ll have to do this. And there’s so many different decisions that can go into that. And I just want you. To one, realize, have, like, acknowledge if you’re, if that money scarcity is something you think about every day.
And if you are thinking about it every day, then I want you to also recognize that it’s affecting your business. So if you don’t want it to affect your business, what do you want to do about it? Now that might mean like, okay, I might get a part time job or I might just like know that if I get to X point, I’m going to get a part time job, right?
If I do this, then I’m going like, if I get to X point, then I’m going to move back into my parents, right? Like, that’s an option I have available. If I get to this point, I’m going [00:23:00] to, uh, I’m going to move to Bali and like, not pay a lot of bills because it’s super cheap out there. I, there’s just so many different things that you can consider.
Even if you’re a little bit privileged, right? So it’s like, I just want you to acknowledge the scarcity and then decide what you’re going to do about it. Either now or have some type of like plan of how you’re going to handle the circumstance. Because here’s what I don’t want for you. I don’t want you to be needing money and needing the money coming from this like very desperate place because that is repellent of to make money.
Like straight up, it is repellent. So I want you to get to a place where you can, your nervous system [00:24:00] can handle like, okay, I got a plan. My decisions are made. If I don’t, like, if I have 3 months of 0 months or 4 months of 0 months, I’m going to do X, right? And, and look, I also want you to make money, but, and we’ll talk about that next.
But like, You have to acknowledge that, like, you’re going to have zero months in business sometimes, especially as a coach, if you’re doing, like, launch dial, um, programs, right? Like, you’re going to have to get used to that, so I want you to decide who you want to be when shit hits the fan, because shit is going to hit the fan sometimes.
That’s just the reality of business. And sometimes it won’t be 0 months. Sometimes it’ll be a big bill. Sometimes it’ll like, I, I I’ll, I’ll share a quick, um, a quick learning with you right after my live event for my [00:25:00] mastermind, it was about a month and a half ago at the end of August, 2023, I put on this live event.
I probably spent, I don’t know, somewhere between, I really should know this number. I was just looking at the numbers. I just didn’t do the total. I think I spent around 12 to like. 13K, maybe I got to look, maybe it’s 15, but I spent a lot of money on this event for 12 people. And I had a videographer, I had all this stuff and we had a peer space.
And the next day after the event was over, my hat, my brain was like, let’s go. We’re launching Show Up Real in literally four weeks, three weeks. I think it was like three and a half weeks. Like I got to like, I got to work on this. I was head down focused on it. And I remember looking at my email and I get an email saying, uh, a message [00:26:00] from the owner of the event space we were using.
And she said, Hey, I’m putting in a claim because there’s some damages to our place and, um, I just want to let you know. And my heart dropped. And I was like, Oh, my God, I just literally and by the way, I put this whole event on a credit card. So it was a lot of it had really racked up. Um, and it was just a month, but still, I was, my heart was kind of pounding.
Okay, guys, I was very nervous. And I remember in that moment, I had, like, I gave myself, like, probably 15 seconds to, like, Flip out real fast. And then I looked at the email and I said, these are the problems you asked for. If I want to make a million dollars in my business, I better get used to million dollar problems.
So I looked at it. I was like, you know what? [00:27:00] I got it. I had to do some work to like, you know, defend myself in the case. I did that. And then I put it away and I was like, I’m not going to think about this. And if I get a bill for 10, 000 saying we ruined the place, which we did not, um, I’m just going to have to handle it when I get there.
But right now, I, I, that’s not the case. So I just got to go with the flow. And I remember, All right. First of all, I remember thinking, damn, I’m such a boss for like thinking this way. And then the second part was like, I’m ready for the growth. Like I can take it like I can actually take bigger problems. I have like I’m so good at regulating my nervous system.
I’m so right now. I should say right now. I am. Um, I can handle it. So. When I tell you that I [00:28:00] want you to be like, I want you to be sure about who you want to be when shit hits the fan, that’s what I mean, decide who you’re going to be, decide how you’re going to make decisions. And I don’t want your ego to get in the middle of it.
Like, I want you to be like, I’m in integrity with myself and my ego might have some thoughts, but I’m going to be me. I’m going to do right by me. So eliminate that scarcity because it’s going to affect you find your plan B, C, D, E, F. Okay. All right. Number three, number three, three. I’ll tell you how I filled up my program with 40 people in two days.
I created an offer that was so damn good. People felt insane for not buying it. Insane. So for show up [00:29:00] real. Uh, it was a brand new program. It is a brand new program. It just launched recently. It’s still open today until tonight. I created a bonus offer that is closed now, but for the first 2 days, 48 hours of the program, I offered an insane deal.
Insane deal. It was 1, 500 paid in full to work, to be a part of the program for 24 months. Now, this is a 12 month program and the price is 2, 500. So, I literally slashed 1, 000 off the offer and added an extra month. It was an insane offer and I got to be honest when I made so I knew I wanted the offer to be [00:30:00] crazy like a crazy great deal, but.
When I came up with this offer, I was like, that is so insane. I was like, is it too much? Am I doing too much? And I remember even having thoughts of like, people are going to think I’m desperate. Like people are going to think I’m desperate for people to join for the offer to be so good, but it wasn’t desperate.
Like it, the, like how I came up with the offer was like. I’ve been waiting to offer this program for so effing long. Like I want, I want it to be an insane deal. Like I want to celebrate this. I want this to be like, this is very, very exciting for me. And I know it’s exciting for the people who want to work with me.
So it really did come from this place of like, why don’t we just like fuck around and just do something outrageous and make this insane offer. And that strategy worked. It worked really, really, really well. I created this [00:31:00] bonus. I called it gratitude bonus because that’s really what it was. And I went for it.
Like, I was like, you know what? People might think I’m desperate and I don’t care. Like, let them think I’m desperate. I’m fine with that. Like, sure, I’m desperate. But like, I know where my credit I know this decision was very intentional and I wanted to do it like I just wanted to do it and I wanted to do it so bad that like I didn’t get coached on it because I didn’t want anyone to, I didn’t want anyone to convince me not to do it because I know the kind of coaches I have and I feel like They would have convinced me not to do it.
Like, they would have been like, no, do this, practice this, la la la. Like, I wanted to. It was such an intentional decision for me. It’s what I wanted. And honestly, if my client came to me and was [00:32:00] like, I want to do this, I’d probably be like, are you sure? Like, I would probably do the similar coaching, but. It really comes, it really depends on like the place it’s coming from.
Right? Like, where is it coming from? I did not create this bonus because I wanted 40 people to join in two days. I created this bonus because. I wanted to like thank everyone. Like I wanted to do something special for the people who have been with me, who’ve been so kind to me, who have helped me build my business, who have shared my podcast, who the community that I have built, that has been so fucking kind to me.
That is why I created this bonus. So because that was the intention, I wanted to make it just insane, insane. And that’s what I did. I made it insane. I was like, you know what? You get two years and you get a thousand dollars off. How about that? [00:33:00] And I have never felt more momentum than those two days. It was like, out of nowhere, everyone was DMing me questions.
I was probably getting like 15 DMs a day, like each day. I was getting audio message it like it was insane. It was insane, but that’s a part of the kind of all it kind of all work together because I also waited so long and practice restraint for offering this program, right? Like, I. I really, really, really just like warmed up my audience so much that by the time this offer was available and the offer had a special bonus on top of it, it was such an easy decision for my ideal clients.
It was like, yes, why wouldn’t I? I had so many people, even like some, some people were like, I don’t even know if this is for me, but like to get access to [00:34:00] you for two years, fuck yes. It was because I had been doing the work and giving value over and over and over again, over and over and over again. So create an insane offer.
Like if you really want to sell the hell out of your program, create an insult, insane offer. And I got to say, when I made this decision, if you know anything about me as a coach, I am not one who’s gonna, who’s going to be like, Oh, but I put so much effort into this. Like they need to pay. Like this program is worth so much more.
Like this is too good of a deal. Like I don’t want to give it away this cheap. Like that’s not my fucking energy. Like no, all were like, I’m not afraid to like give more because every time I’ve given more in my business, I’ve made even more, [00:35:00] I’ve made even more. So create an insane offer. and be willing to like serve the F out of the people in the offer.
All right. Lastly, I created a very, very small goal for this program. So I, when I decided to pick, when I was planning my launch, I decided that this program would be, I knew it was going to be somewhere between 2000 and 2500 or 3000, I think two, two to 3000. And I decided that I would I decided I, because it was a new program and I really had no idea what to expect, I was like, I’m going to goal for eight people, which I, some people might think like, that’s crazy.
It’s going to be so much more than that, but for me, I was like, this is a brand new program. Like, why [00:36:00] would I expect people to just join? Like, I’m so willing to take this slow. I’m so willing to like, just have a really, really small launch and just learn from it. Um, Keep it going, you know, like that was my energy is like, it’s so much more about the growth.
And by the way, I needed the money. Like, I had just put so much money on my credit card with this live event. The honest truth is I needed the money, but I was, I decided ahead of time, this Launch is not going to be the thing that pays off this debt and I just didn’t want that hanging over my head. I was like, I’ll just pay this debt like with my next launch in November for the mastermind.
I could count on those launches being over 60, 000. So I’ll just pay with, I’ll pay then, you know, and by the way, I had more on this, this, I had more debt than just the, the, the [00:37:00] event, but it was, I mean, the truth was like, I just didn’t want that hanging over me. I was just like, I’ll pay the minimum. I’ll pay some of it.
Like, I’ll figure it out, but I’m not going to make this launch be the thing that has to like pay for X, Y, Z. Cause I didn’t want that energy in this, in this launch. Like I didn’t want to go into that month with that energy. I knew it wasn’t productive. It wasn’t productive for the people I was serving. It wasn’t productive for my business.
It wasn’t productive for me and my nervous system, my anxiety. Like I don’t need that shit. So let me handle it. Let me think. Let me plan ahead of time. And my plan. Remember, I told you, like, eliminate the scarcity circumstances for me. I was like, look, I’m just, I come to terms. I’m going to have this debt until November or December, probably December.
And like, I’m just willing to do that,[00:38:00]
but I’m not going to put pressure on this launch. So I didn’t. I created a very small goal, created a goal of eight people. I created an insane offer. I eliminated my circumstances. And I sold the hell out of it and I got 40 people in and I owe that to me really deciding to strategically create a small goal and to not overwhelm myself and give this launch the energy of like, I need this to work.
I didn’t need it to work. I wanted it to work, but I don’t need anything to work. I always like what I’ve been practicing so much of that has been so helpful is like, I’m always going to figure it out. I’m never going to stop figuring it out. Just never going to. So it’s like, how long are we going to play this [00:39:00] game of like, I need the money?
Yeah, I do need the money. But if I really, really needed the money, what would I do? My, I would probably go get a job if I needed the money or I would take out money from my stocks or like from anywhere. Like I would just figure it out. So having a small goal under goaling was very, very important to this process.
And yeah, it was so, so, so important. So I hope that was helpful. This is, these are my biggest takeaways of having a 60, 000 launch in two days of a brand new program that was a lower ticket. Most of these people paid 1, 500 and it’s a 2, 500 [00:40:00] offer and I sold it with a bonus and the bonus worked. But it had to do with everything I shared today.
